Every athlete or scholar has faced times where they are uncomfortable in their training. Athletes are uncomfortable when beginning their training, but then get used to it. Scholars are uncomfortable with their studies at times, but then get used to it. Every trader will feel the same at one point or another, based on a timeframe or a currency that they are unfamiliar with. The problem that I keep seeing is that most will say to stick with whatever you are comfortable with (myself included). If you were to stick to whatever currency or timeframe you feel comfortable with, then you are limiting your abilities. So instead of saying to stick with what you are comfortable with, why do we not say to ourselves and others to get to that awkward spot so that we can learn from it?
I have seen traders develop into fantastic scalpers, whereas before they weren't comfortable with it. So tell me, why shouldn't we get to an area that we are uncomfortable in at some point in time or another?

I dream, therefore I become.
