cpi has more of an effect on currencies than it does gold
what people especially retail pissants like us dont realize is its very expensive to trade gold

the world doesnt operate on monopoly prop firm money where you can buy 100 contracts with the 100 dollars you paid for a challenge LOL

and it doesnt operate with 500:1 margins in crapass offshore CFD brokers like so many people around the world use

 

  1. 1-Ounce Gold Futures (/1OZ): \(\approx \$209\) margin per contract
  2. Micro Gold Futures (/MGC): \(\approx \$2,040\) margin per contract (10 troy ounces)
  3. E-mini Gold Futures (/QO): \(\approx \$10,419\) margin per contract (50 troy ounces)
  4. Standard Gold Futures (/GC): \(\approx \$20,394\) margin per contract (100 troy ounces) [1]

in the real world one needs to tie up thousands and thousands and even millions of real dollars to trade gold

and on top of that holding physical gold costs money since it doesnt pay interest and you have to pay someone to store it in their vault cause u wouldnt wanta burgler to find ur metal stashed under the mattress LOL

so if cpi comes in hot ill be shorting gold all day long

professional people dont want to fuk with all the expense of dealing with gold in an inflationary environment even the central banks

was watching though the price and literally rn
iam really in confusion why in the world this unnecessary
fall came
i don't believe rn
still gold will break lows
this doesn't fit me
ill be seeing how it closes today
i expect price to go higher next week
still
today i witnessed one of the worst price actions of my trading

it is $320 for /1OZ and $3,200-ish for /MGC at my broker. btw 1OZ is a great size to play with when you learn.

must be interactivebrokers or some other such broker cause i use AMP discount brokerage and these are their margins
