Solid approach moving SL to breakeven at 100-150 pips - that's exactly how you survive gold's volatility. One thing I'd add: be careful holding through high-impact news (NFP, FOMC, CPI). Those spikes can blow past both SL and TP with the spread widening. I usually flatten or tighten before those releases. Good discussion here, appreciate everyone sharing real levels.

Market tested my buy entry it disobeyed yesterday and started buying today and it has created another buy entry that it could come and test to go up more,
those who thought I was joking yesterday when I was calling buy and market would not go below 4000 or 3940 will understand what I was saying.

A buy at 4065.5-60, sl at 4045 and this is a high probability trade,
market has invalidated the sells making it very low probability with a very high buy probability.

Yeah, gold is printing buys again for now. It can switch suddenly, so prepare for both sides.
I will actively keep an eye on the market today as Im not going out. Hopefully, we can win together

i advised people to stay out of the sell but one guy thought I lost yesterday so no need to listen to me, market is the best teacher and it will always teach you the hard way

Sell or Buy. Anyone can be wrong in the market because the market can do whatever at any time. It's more about how you manage your risk because that's more important than execution. I keep my risks minimal and the number of trades taken per day. Less trades, Less losses and more wins.

I took from 4057.
moved Sl now to 4097. 400 pips to be on safe side. If it hits and goes above. I’m still good made 200 earlier on short position too

someone could also trade 5 times in a day and be much more profitable than the one waiting for several days before he gets one entry and even after waiting for several days he could still lose for 2 to 3 consecutive time so sometimes slow down on the constant hammering on being patient , if it's good for you go with it but if someone also sees three entries a day allow them ,
the only time I would say someone is over trading is taking trades more than 5 times a day whilst losing more, the most important thing is acquiring the skill and you wouldn't even buy and sell anyhow and anywhere but it doesn't mean you won't lose no matter how strategic you position your trades, loses are inevitable but it doesn't also mean waiting for days will make you more profitable than someone taking one to 3 trades each , it's depends on once skill and knowledge.

I would disagree with this. Anything outside 3 trades a day is what I consider overtrading. Gold requires a minimum is 200pips x 3 trades. thats 600pips in a day. X5 trades, thats 1000pips in a day. That's on a bad day. What happens on a bad week? Losses are inevitable, which is what I consider before gains. How much do I have to lose today? If I take 3 trades and I lose. then Im down 600pips and not 1000pips. No strategy is perfect, but risk management will make you stay long enough in the business.
