The annoying thing about trading news is that dealers will most likely adjust the spread so the next price retail or aggressive customers will transact at will be "gapped" up or down significantly from the pre news price. I find gold to be highly manipulated in that regard.

My personal analysis is today gold will accelerate upwards creating demand. USD needs more liquidity to advance to 102-103.

Too many bears waiting at the door
Price bounced hard from 3968 and already pushing 4015. Watch what happens next carefully.
The setup looks "obvious" to everyone right now — bounce into resistance, short it, ride it to 3900. That's exactly the problem. When a setup is this obvious, the market almost never delivers it cleanly.
Here's what I expect:
Shorts are already queuing up. Some pulled the trigger at 4020. Others are waiting at 4040. More at 4060-4080. The brave ones are eyeing 4100+. Every single one of them has a stop sitting just above their entry.
That's not a resistance zone — that's a liquidity farm.
Smart money doesn't sell into a falling knife. They sell into the squeeze — into the panic of trapped shorts covering, into FOMO longs chasing the "reversal." EMA10 sits around 4160, EMA20 around 4250. Those are the magnets before the real move resumes.
The ones shorting here thinking they're early are actually just providing the fuel for the move up.
3900 is still the target. But the road there goes through 4160-4200 first — and it's going to hurt a lot of people on the way.
Be patient. The real entry isn't here. It never was.
