What a week.
Price moved down as expected.
At the same time I didn't make much in bitcoin and ETH
How can an ardent bear lose money in a market going down. Go figure
The answer is because I was trying to trade the counter trend movements instead of boringly sticking with the trend.
But 75k is gone in bitcoin and ETH is weak too (Weekly chat uploaded - candle not closed yet though)
ETH seems to be faring worse than bitcoin.
Next week is another week. Will reset this weekend.

Took a couple scalps today. Both turned out well for small gains. Sometimes i wonder if id be better off just scalping, but my eyes always seem to shift to bigger moves. Right now I just have no fucking idea what to expect for any big move, so sticking with 1 and 5 minute charts.

Helluva lot less stress scalping that's for sure. Actually was nice getting in, getting out, then taking my eyes off the charts for a change

This is the market i scalped and this is the action I like to scalp in. This was HYPE coin and chart is inverted. The second scalp i wish i hung onto because it took off after that, but I'll take the win after a tough week.

But the action is good for scalping when it looks like this in my opinion. Its more predictable. When it's moving strong in one direction its harder for me and I avoid unless it really looks obvious

The thing i dont like about scalps is the r/r. Im trying to fade a weak looking move, but it can go on a little longer than I expect most times. Im pushing it if I try to go for a 1:1 r/r. Usually its risk 2, reward 1. So I need to win twice to make up for a loss. So I MUST be patient and accurate.

I think you need to actually write out an actual strategy, then test it six ways to Sunday to see it it's worth doing. It seems to me you're just quasi-randomly trading vague plans at best. A recipe for long term failure.
