Gold right now looks structurally strong in price, but institutionally the picture is much less convincing.
The latest COT and macro context suggest that XAU is currently in a neutral institutional regime, where neither bullish continuation nor bearish transition clearly dominates. In other words: institutions are still involved, but there is no aggressive conviction behind the move.
Open Interest remains well below historical extremes, which tells us participation is moderate rather than explosive. That is important because strong and sustainable trends usually come with expanding institutional commitment, not just rising price.
The recent weeks also show mixed pressure between continuation and transition, meaning the market is moving without a clean structural consensus. From the macro side, the environment is also mixed: weaker dollar and liquidity conditions support gold, but inflation and rates are not yet creating a decisive macro catalyst.
So despite gold remaining elevated, the institutional structure currently looks more like an environment of caution and indecision rather than a fully confirmed dominant bullish regime.
For me, this is exactly why price alone is not enough. Gold can keep moving higher, but without stronger participation and clearer institutional alignment, confidence in continuation remains limited.

First buy at 463-58, sl at 4640,
so last week after many up and down movement market created liquidity below and after it failed to create a high Friday, I knew it would definitely clear the buy side liquidity before the buy start again,
so let take our first buy and incase it fails then it then we buy again at 4616-12, the first a entry could easily start with the buys without going down again so it's a good trade to take.

Personally, the market does not seem clear at the moment, but based on the 4H timeframe, I will be leaning more on sells rather than buys for now. Then I might buy later.

sl can now be placed at 4645, and watch how market behave because by afternoon time or New York it should either still be trading above 4662 or not below 4646 for the bullishness to be still valid.

New York started the move and if you entered you should be smiling by now but it's just the beginning because it could be the beginning of a possible bullish week and this is a buy and hold till you can't hold again.

A lot of thinking goes into it every day and as i said the best to come just started , we just started after several testing and confirmation we are coming to apply every thing we studied on the chart the past one year

so this is probably a sell to test a buy zone below before bulls resume the bullishness to lift price up again,
we will therefore target a buy around 4680-70 which is a good buy zone within the major demand.

A buy at 4675-70, sl at 4648 and this is a buy and hold because it could reach 4800+ by tomorrow if it doesn't fail, and it will depend on the inflation data that will drop today
