Maybe if the Iranian terrorist proxies aka Hezbollah, had stayed behind the Litani River as they agreed to in the ceasfire with Israel, and stopped terrorising the citizens of northern Israel, including Druze, Muslims and Jews who live in peace together, with rockets supplied by Iran, the IDF wouldn't have to create a buffer zone by seizing Lebanese land up to the Litani River. Trump just announced a naval blockade of the Strait of Hormuz- and it is one of the most self-defeating moves imaginable.
Why? Because it hands Iran the perfect narrative.

Instead of Iran being blamed for oil disruptions, the US will be seen as the one choking global energy supply. Trump’s philosophy appears to be “let’s all die together”!

At least under the Iranian tolling system, your oil could get out if you paid the toll or the cargo in petroyuan. Trump’s blockade prevents any ship from coming out at all.

is Trump trying to push the Japanese to buy Russian oil, thus further providing Putin with a financial windfall ? And great stuff for those Gulf countries like the UAE which has to import all its food through the Strait. The people of these countries will be scavenging for food from the rubbish bins soon.

Trump thinks this move will only affect Iran. No! It affects all the other oil producing Gulf countries as well who rely on the Strait to export their oil.

On April 8, ABC’s Jonathan Karl asked Trump if he was okay with Iran charging ships a fee to pass through the strait. His response?
“We’re thinking of doing it as a joint venture. It’s a way of securing it, also securing it from lots of other people.

It’s a beautiful thing.”

The President of the United States, in the middle of a war he started, a war that has killed schoolgirls and flattened civilian infrastructure, looked at Iran’s toll booth operation and thought, yeah, I want a cut of that action. Iran closed the strait because Trump and Netanyahu bombed their country. That is the cause and effect here.

Shipping companies are haemorrhaging money. Insurance premiums have gone through the roof.
And every country that relies on Middle Eastern crude, which is a lot of fucking countries, is getting squeezed.

And Trump’s solution? More pain. For everyone. His ego cannot handle the fact that Iran, a country he has been bombing for 6 weeks, still has leverage over him. He would rather burn the global economy to cinders than admit that Iran outplayed him.

Netanyahu sold Trump this war. Everyone knows it. The blueprint came from Israel. The target list came from Israel. The timing came from Israel. And Trump, the man who thinks he is the greatest dealmaker in history, got played like a cheap fiddle by a war criminal who has been itching to bomb Iran for 20 years.

This is what you get when you hand the most powerful military on earth to a man who thinks like a mob boss, talks like a used car salesman, and governs like a vengeful toddler.
