Friend, I need you to clarify something for me!
You said that tomorrow, March 18, 2026, you prefer not to trade, as it is a day when the FOMC data will be released.
I don't know which country you're from, nor your time zone!
According to FF, the first FOMC data will be released at 1:00 PM, which, in my country, Mozambique, is equivalent to 8:00 PM, since our time zone is (GMT +2)!
Before this data, the Core PPI will be released at 7:30 AM, which is equivalent to 2:30 PM for my country.
Given that the high-impact news will only start to be reflected in the afternoon, in my case, would this serve as a passport for me to trade, at least, until noon, that is, 12:00 PM???

the strategy starts in asian session and ends in NY, you can trade if you want, the reason why we avoid FOMC is because there might not be retrace because of the news.

If you guys going to Trade today, this is the Range. But as you see, candle doesnt make anything, as most Trader are out, they waiting for the Data.
If FOMC cut rate, gold will push up, if retain it will consolidate or little bit further down. Increase, it will surely go to Downward Trajectory

I wonder how you set the range for NY session? Is it defined with London high and low or some other zones?

Helllo bdsilvano curious money management you got going on heere!! since thread is gaining popularity and to improve its engagement, I'll ask some questions I hope you can answer to wipe the slate clean.

0. Strategy is: hedge in asia between s/r and keep taking profits, fully hedge past 4 hours. Keep the hedge and open it by taking the profits on NY extension and don't hedge in expectation that it will lessen the drawdown. Close all entries EOD prioritizing profits. Correct?

However there's some doubts you should clear to make it clear for others trying to understand it:

1. There's times where you're not fully hedged and you are exposed to market. This is in Asia while taking profits and in NY expecting reversal. To avoid drawdown you're careful when closing positions, prioritizing grid-style separation between hedges to avoid traps.
2. When you're not hedged what's the criteria to reset or hedging awaiting a move to your direction?
3. What exactly happens if NY doesn't reverse? This is important.
4. If on important s/r you don't open a hedge set but rathen a reversal-sided position (buy on support, sell on resistance)

I hedge during the opening of Asian. I keep Buying and Selling and Get Greens during this time, sometimes I am expose sometimes not, so I can redistribute my position during this phase. after 4 hours Open, I am fully Hedge. I dont use Grid, but I certainly has spacing for my Position.

2. When you're not hedged what's the criteria to reset or hedging awaiting a move to your direction?

I only Unhedge During London New York overlap, usually I unhedge 1 Hr before NY Open, as this is the exact time, london will give Good price for the Yankess to continue the price. and mostly this time, the price will rest at major S/R of the day. I use this for my advantage. sometimes also the High of the Day or the Low of the Day will be display on these times.

3. What exactly happens if NY doesn't reverse? This is important.
a) hedge again fully or
b) reset everything. when the price didnt go into my expectation. I just reset. the market wont touch any of my capital as I keep getting greens on the Asia and keep the hedge during NY, I wont gain as well as I dont loosse.

4. If on important s/r you don't open a hedge set but rathen a reversal-sided position (buy on support, sell on resistance)
Yes True. this is very important part ( Buy only or should I say go BUY Side at support, go Sell side on Resistance)

the range we just follow is Market Profile... so we can see where is support and resistance.

Feels like London succesfully broke the support but can never trust London on breakouts

But any view on that ? or keeping out is the best thing to do ?

I have said this one last saturday and sunday it will happen, now the price is falling. thats the reason why I want to get out today. there might be no retracement today.
