Hey guys, I'm in a very unfortunate situation. I have a buy order open at 5190 and a sell order, which secures my margin, at 5082. How can I get out of this situation? I don't want to lose all my capital. If I close the sell order, I can only afford another $10 move down, otherwise the broker will close my account. I'm a beginner, and I know I've made a lot of mistakes, but I'd appreciate any advice...

is this price action a sign of bears?
or just general slowing down because of Ny open?

Nice thread thanks. Just started reading.
So, big profits on a V shape day and just a small loss on days that grind in one direction?
I must have something wrong here? It can't be that easy?

Doh..I see my stupid error.
Of course, in the trend day i'm only accounting a loss of 10 on each sell trade which is of course nonsense
i.e the sell at 5050 is -100 at EOD, the sell at 5060 is -90 etc.
LOL... I would have revolutionised the world if trading if it had been right

why use real account?

removed all my buys... because of the freezing one didnt get closed and gave me a loss.. hopefully price crashes right now

1- don’t use real account when you aren’t expert in the system and strategy
2- you need a 1000$ account at least to comfortably hedge without worrying about margin call
3- don’t panic, you have to eliminate the drawdown slowly
4- how did you reach a stage where you can only afford another 10$ drawdown? Is the capital low or do you have too many positions

another thing, for a 1000$ account you should only use 0.01 lot size

dont use real account until you master this stretegy and you have proven your self with it.

So this is a strategy that will eventually bite you hard. At some point you will run out of margin and be left holding a huge negative position. I would advise even seasoned traders to avoid this as a strategy, far better is to identify a trend and trade in the trend direction, this is basically a doomed strategy at some point, but in a ranging market it would hold up until the range breaks. I have yet to see a trader make any money with this, but please prove me wrong.

Im at loss 50 dollars right, but still 3 sell position open. let see if I can get rid of that loss
I put a tp on it because I had to leave my desk. the trades will be closed manually now

was able to reduce drawdown to -12.

reacted to slow with profit taking.

I call it a day, see you monday wolftraders.

if it didn’t work for you it didn’t, it’s worked for others, @bdsilvano been trading this strategy for years

brother 10k capital use maybe 0.05 lot size you’ll grow faster, its demo so nothing to lose
