If gold is the weak link, does that mean we're in risk-on environment again? For the first time in like 2 years (and especially since October 2025?). I'm kind of feeling the risk-on turn on again, and wondering if I should long crypto and MSTR, and tech stocks. Might be the april-2025 moment again, coming up??

yeah I know but it's just the pre-news setup so it doesn't matter and I don't wanna sit here and make people think it does. If news is heavy neither the high or low will be respected.

Hey guys, I'm in a very unfortunate situation. I have a buy order open at 5190 and a sell order, which secures my margin, at 5082. How can I get out of this situation? I don't want to lose all my capital. If I close the sell order, I can only afford another $10 move down, otherwise the broker will close my account. I'm a beginner, and I know I've made a lot of mistakes, but I'd appreciate any advice...

also mind you pro traders would definitely be risking 0.5% of their account at max esp. if their capital is so high, but at the same time id like to add i look for swings and real good setups, so my usual return is 5-15% on a trade with the stock standard 1:30 leverage

yep last week i took out 70% and this week i took out the 100%, so even if i lose it all i would be up 70% --> but yes you are right hopefully dont have to see that lesson because I trust myself to cut losses short as soon as I see a different set up.

And btw i really appreciate your insights in this forum, they are spot on and a completely unique way of looking at trading using the strategy you do! I also find my strategy to have a lot of confluences with yours

It totally depends on you. You can grow the account and then lose it in 1 day which will make you wish you have withdrawn. Bigger account allows you bigger trades. All depends on your trading style. One tip - beware of becoming overconfident

hmmm okay im still on the verge of figuring out who i am as a trader, one thing i have realised is that as soon as my account size does get bigger, just the psychology of trading bigger lots and seeing bigger losses (even though in terms of the percent value lost on those trades is the same as when my balance was smaller), just makes me automatically lose more often...

so maybe its a lot sizing issue after a certain amount? or a psychological block/barrier i need to overcome so that i can build a bigger balance -- this here is probably the primary reason why i have withdrawn or else I would've just grown it

any tips on how to get over that? or is this a adopt a new strategy and decrease risk sort of approach i must take when dealing with bigger capital?

edit: also thank you very much for your tip, I do need to humble myself and stay grounded, thats the hardest part

Today’s Bias: Short

• Short Zone
Sellers pushed the battle back inside 5100, but they still haven’t fully taken control.
This leaves only one short zone for now. It’s not supported by anything major, but below the zone the Asia close is cooking for a potential high.

• Long Scenario
I don’t have a clean long plan today. The open price already faked out at the Asia close, so it’s not valid for me. Asia low wasn’t respected either.
If the bias fails, the best plan is to look for a long continuation setup.

• Flip Condition
I flip long only if 5100 fails.

Update:
I was wrong about this Asia high close being respected. I executed knowing there was a chance it needed more time to cook, and I learned that after the stop loss was hit.
