Whenever you do Trading, either Forex, Commodity, Stocks and others, You must always think Both Side (BUYER or SELLER), Both BUYER and Sellers exist on the same Instrument, only depends on time when and @ what price will it reverse.

interstign concept so to get your edge as you bank for example every 10 points on Gold on way up you would bank 30 points but then your sell will be 30 points down so essentially your then waiting for the Price to come back to your sell but then the BUy reestablished will be 30 points down so concept being your banking builds up profits and the HEdge no matter how wide is taken off at beneficial zones

something like that, actually what we trade is not the price of the instrument, but the volatility, as long as the price move up and down, we keep harvesting Green and hedge whatever is left onthe Drawdown. But at NY session, we will remove the hedge and do 1 side trading same as everyone is doing, for me to get out the position and clear the book.

ok so orginal hedge is Important mid range or middle 3rd of range, im struggling with the banking and resetting as you are always at Net break even i have tried it on Demo today and banked 330 basedon 1 10 point move in any direction and immediately i banked i reopened order in the same direction i closed to retain the hedge, but in doing this i dont see how you are ever in net positive until u take one side unless it returns to your high exposure of the hedge but then the last position you opened will be exactly or close enough to in drawdown of what you have banked ??

maybe im missing the key concept here, its very interesting espcially with something like Gold which reverses constantly, and then u just need to back test and reasearch average grid range to set your TPs to the optimum.

just trying to identify the conceptual edge

Right now I am Fully Hedge, on NY either it will print High of the Day or Low of the day, Once they do that, I will remove all positive BUY or sell, then I will place order from top or bottom, for me to average my drawdown, once it does, I immediately get out and Clear my BOOK, so over all on Daily I am Green, its so hard to explain it actually, it is more better if I show it to you.

just fully hedge as of now OK. Please I want to see your open position. ofcourse Risk management, I dont have to teach, all must do the risk management appropriately.

Currently Price wants to go lower. We allow it, We still fully hedge.

sometimes you fully hedge, sometimes allow yourself to be expose, so that you can place BUY or Sell into more better position.

Dont be afraid on Exposure, as take note, you have bank green already.

In hedging, there is 2 ways to make profit,

1) get all the Greens,
2) minimize or lessen the drawdown,

Both strategy works, overall Green Money unto you.

Right now I have 1 Buy and 4 Sells. I have remove Green BUYS already, I will rehedge if the price goes against me.
