Yeah, it's a mixed bag. Good labor numbers mean a) government cooked the books or b) things aren't as bad as markets have been pricing in. Strength here (aka within the economy) would typically boost markets modestly.

On the flip side, however, a strong labor market means the FED can be expected to keep rates higher for longer to battle their inflation concerns...which would put downward pressure on stocks.

It's the delicate balance in which the market currently sits.

If reports could stop coming out saying AI is going to destroy this or that industry, we'd be better off in the short run...but that's a whole different can of beans.

to be fair you do have to consider that King Trump is flawless, the best at golf and knows more about every single subject than Einstein. The numbers he controls can't possibly be bad... besides the DOW, the DOW just hit 50.000
