What you saw in the bearish move was at his fractal test the monthly median support, as fractal weekly just close above monthly median high, a test at some point will be done and is not hard, because that zone is exactly 5105. This means that most likely because we close and not wick that zone monthly will expand higher.
Sorry guys, is not about news only that money flow...
I just learn one more tweak with this experience and now i am sharing, because after happen is a lot more easy to understand what price does to use it in the future..

Yesterday I performed poorly on the markets and broke my own drawdown rules, eating into the week's profit unnecessarily far. I decided to make an EA for mt5 that sets a drawdown limit. Thought I'd share in case it helps anyone here. The code is written to limit drawdown to $1000. I will paste the course for you to compile yourselves so you can gloss over it and make sure it's not malicious. I largely wrote it with the help of chatgpt so don't judge the code lol

Hi traders! Here is my analysis for XAUUSD for 23/02/26. As the market opens, price may break the supply zone since it was very bullish on Friday. If the price breaks out and closes above the green line, we could see a significant upside move. However, if it rejects that level again, we could see a move to the downside.

Every weekend I go through the same routine: refining, adjusting, deleting, rebuilding. Some weeks the refining feels right, some weeks it doesn’t. Patterns change. Micro details change. Execution rules change. All of that can be rewritten at any moment.

But there is one thing I cannot rewrite:
how I read the chart.

That is the foundation of everything.
Reading comes before patterns and before execution.
It is the part that gives meaning to the entire system.

Without strong reading you cannot extract patterns, refine execution, or build confidence.

And yes, I am still refining my execution.
My reading has expanded, and I see more things and more patterns now.
So the execution has to evolve with it.
It is not years of refining without progress.
It is that every time my reading grows, the execution must grow with it.

I have spent years sharpening both reading and execution.
Now the reading is strong enough to guide everything else with clarity.
That is the part that lasts.

EDIT: Study this concept, probably not any guru teach in internet... Just using a simple break and retest with no context, just most recent swing broken in 4h, see when 1h does it... Last 7 days. Forget old swings, as long a new one is formed the other is invalid. The tweak here is really know the fractal that i had to learn alone.
This by it self will give you a better bias. As long you also know what price does when you are wrong you in a loss will get a new trade to get it back... Pure price action and as should people trade any pattern, know the target and when they are wrong... Use it 1 deviaton and yu will be surprise how many times price will hit.. And if it don't you know, another high probability to the stop level average the trade. Is how i trade open and i always am guessing averages prices, not this concept, but i only want to explain with a simple one and how fractal is important.

And if you notice an early miss of the first one by some pips, it didn't miss, is another one played in 1h confirmed by 30m...

At the End....its all about " range", Supply n Demand

Big picture :
5030,5070 as a Demand
5320,5370 as a Supply

Can buy n sell based Level for liquidity provider concept.

Friday is a good example ...5057 Supply, 4997 Demand( each have their own target).

Technically...break 51xx bullish ( more buy then sell)
Fundamentally ....favor for Gold Up at any time.

Break 5020 down....invalidated the analysis.

For patience trader...will wait for Demand zone to buy...unless hold from the friday low.

Anyway, on Monday, we will start with a few scenarios : First, the price, regardless of its rise, declines and experiences a deceptive decline to the 4980-5000 area ! Second : The price continues on its way and runs ! And third : The price makes a momentary drop (to hit the new trades' loss limit) then goes back up ! I agree with Senyo the third more ! Because we reached a sliding resistance of 5100, the price cannot stand at this point ! But you should know that the market always acts against you and no analysis is 100% accurate! On Monday, due to the closure of two banks in China and Japan, the market is in the hands of big traders and the market is a bit emotional and stressful and you have to lose more energy and a lot of hormones ! i cant buy high right here as it has to come down to the marked levels at any cost any time... Nature of Gold... it just creted that trend to trap big fish... as this type of trend mostly goes for days but it was due to decision of supreme court of America... it has to come down so be careful buying high or manage money wisely...
Green lines are very important supply zones...

I could put here several context but all of them will have " if "
Each candle have their context in it...
I start by daily that having liquidity above and can average price to 4989, but going higher TF the story is not quite like that, so not beeing aligned with monthly and weekly will always have an " If ".
So i prefer to let an opinion with an " IF " not seen already in the charts as a movement to be played out.
When weekly close below 5091.93 we average this price and the close of that bearish week. Is the best setup that i am seeing in the charts without it happen, we just need be patience and by saying this we can assume that below this price can all turn out in the end as a higher Tf wick and nothing more.
Beeing so, below that price i will be a buyer every time they give opportunity below weekly Tf. Any sell i will make will be in and out because we cross a sensitive price of monthly and is enough to me to know that now a break of it will be average, so will be confortable to buy not to sell.
