Very good explanation, and yes you're right, i need to focus more on those details, god bless you ! have a nice week-end ! i'm here to learn more and practice more, and go more in depth in my analysis, i know that after all the market would do whatever it wants, i just want to add more precision to my bias to have better probability that my trades succeed, it's a long journey and i'm happy to share it with you and learn from you brother !

Thank you so much, and yes i know that the market would humble you if you get cocky after some winning streak .. i try to focus on one strategy, the problem is that in the past i used to switch between indicators, concepts, random entries on 1M with big lots (between 0.5 and 0.8 lots on a 2k account which is huge for me) just to aim for 20/30 pips and then i move to the next day but that kept me stuck on breakeven cause you know gold and tight SL doesn't rhyme .. Anyway, now i read daily, i mark POC's, session opening and closing and try to mark out where the liquidity lies and the main interesting spots, and all of that on 4H once everything is set, i scale on 15 min and i follow the movements, when my zone get's taped on 15M i scale to 1 min to enter, and sometimes i miss out some details cause i'm in a rush.. like the entry i did on friday .. anyway i'm still trying to improve and learn it's a long way to go !

i have huge respect for persons that make their own analysis and are ready to share it generously..,
i have no respect for/ i hate any kind of "dogma"

i quite often scalp against "the trend" and profit from it

i asked you about time, cause you mentioned that friday was the "day off" for you..,
i scalp mostly and about my TP/SL you can easily find in my previous post

i'd like to talk about time, session schedule.., still not sure if this will suit you

5:00-8:00 -pre LO.., & pre Hong Kong Close
buy&sell usually occur.., - Hong Kong then Frankfurt at 7:00
check it and imo, if you can "master" it.., can be your bread

16:30-19:00 - after LC,
buy&sell usually occur.., - check it.., NY&Frankfurt

12:00 candle /12:00-13:00 -this time to settle "strong" move till LC at least.., can be your butter.., but be careful

you were right "to buy/to go long"

i use 50% candle on daily to see "the middle" and i add this line on my M1 chart..,
so i added fib of asian session to show you how it can play:
you wait to see if 50% fib/=middle of daily at this time/ gonna be tested or broken.., and trade accordingly
and, look at the left /edited

check it if you find it useful
if anything just ask

Already told you that there was a high probability set up also at london and said it on the day what most likely should happen, the average price or pulback to 4944, i am not telling now or after, there are previous post in that day to prove it.
I make my mistake also in entry, the diference is that with such volatility i put Be to fast and always stay out of the trade and in one of them i said not going insist more because that precise pullback is high probability too and my entry a few pips above.
You are not telling nothing new at least about friday is what they do affter sensitive prices like that beeing broked, the same at opens that have continuation not beeing respected and so on.
What you did i do a lot for my self, i edge the position too and only close the sell when i think they will resume trend.
I am insisting in innefecient price above since thursday, so i knew it where the probabilities are, like now most people are seeing only bullish but in fact there are another below but not expect that they go there without close above first but they can and the open can be crazy again.
To me is very easy admit price shifting at any time and accept it and is precise accept what price is doing that improve my trading, not fight the market.
The patterns we trade the same way we have a trigger they surely have an invalidation, trading is not set and forget because that is having an edge and are two completly things.

Imagine you are not a buyer nor a seller...but you are a provider for them to filled their order....your main job is to move the market

Is why....we always see buy target and bear target...which one FIRST be fiilled is a matters for " trading".

For my understanding....MM "always left the sign( clue) ....the early( before happen) or late( after happen) ....will determine your result....

yep interesting, I think my entry was above the daily median, I just should have waited for the M30 candle to close above the sweep and then entered with a stop under that sweep.. I just was impatient and my SL was random, and I got punished for that.. anyway thanks for sharing your ideas and looking forward to seeing more of ur analysis soon

Like the readings i make what price is doing not given bias for granted because i trade at daily basis and is what matter to me, i am not in the market as a investor but as a trader, i also have new thoughts to add to conversation.
I don't need to edit posts to change anything but to add more context.
The dilema you have we all have long term or mid term, price like you said have fluctuations all the time is why to my personality i trade day by day and are the patterns recognition that my eyes look for and trade for.
Some can be applied in higher tf's others not because TIME!
People ignore the open and closes to determine a bias, i don't! And even those are not 100% but they are clues to be position in the right side of the market with more probabilities.
We can forecast in lower, sure, but if the fractal in the end not align or is invalidated we should assume they fk... us... And we shift with them...
There are a myth that every candle has manipulation, is bullsh...
They manipulate opens or they don't!
In a weekly perspective is why Monday is so important, not even a volatility like we had avoid a Monday breakout higher be mitigated or average.
As long the opens are fresh they will bounce price if they don't and close below or above they will average price for sure. Then it comes that average beeing rejected or follow thru, a test as i always say have two faces.
We never should fight trends that the open show cause effect right after...
This is valid for every candle to the respective period the fractal correspond.
I don't complicate the charts and this is perfectly check by anybody...
People can name it algo repeating the pattern, a big boy lossing money and fighting to get out Be, doesn't matter!
As long the fractal close bullish as it did friday, the day is most likely ending bullish. And by closing bullish at his fractal i mean closing above the close, not ignore closes! Even a bearish open closing above is a bullish open...
Not going to argue more when candles as visual representation of price, what give us an edge to understand what price is doing is what will make us profitable, not assume price will do everytime the same thing.
This is one way to follow, there are others relative to sessions...
