Companies are not firing but they are just not re-hiring attrition (imo). But guess who knows. It's not an IF kind of situation anymore but a WHEN. I just didn't think it would be a week after Elon's proclamation. I love the guy for his innovation but his thoughts on mankind's future are the same pitch we got about computers allowing us to work part-time...well, that made most of us work more (often doing 3 people's jobs).

Robotics won't make us work more hours per week but will make us poor due to no work. Soon as they can program a robot to drive a nail with a hammer, game over.

Do you also mean decentralize??? That sounds so good on paper but all your essential needs like water, electricity, food production, infrastructure will become unaffordable. The trick was to lower prices by centralization (i.e. energy production) and mass food farming. Yes there were excesses and overproduction and waste. But if we have to do all that ourselves it will become super expensive.

Some employment events don't affect the market as much. Even at times the NFP do not as well.
