Sorry in advance for the yapping this is a topic I really enjoy.
What’s fascinating is that we consciously understand what’s “right” or “wrong” to do during a trading session, yet many fail to realize that the conscious mind isn’t actually running the show. The subconscious mind is and it’s incredibly fragile. This is especially true in trading, because almost everything about trading goes against our evolutionary instincts.
It can be something as seemingly stupid as, “I don’t deserve this money because I’m not working hard enough for it.” That’s your subconscious talking during the trading session. Meanwhile, your conscious mind might be thinking, “I really need to make money.” But that doesn’t matter. The subconscious is in control, quietly sabotaging you in ways you don’t even realize.
That’s why it’s so hard to “just follow the rules.”

I understand what you are saying about our Subconscious Brain Controling our Trading Decisions.
A lot of people are Sabotaging their Trading long before their Subconscious Brain comes into action by simply Trading too Big or not allowing their Edge to Play Out.
I am at a point in my Trading were I am simply allowing my Edge to Play Out Over Time, by Focusing Long Term and Staying in the Game.
I do this by Trading at a Size where I am not Concerned with an Individual Trade Outcome which means my Subconscious Brain is a lot Calmer than it would otherwise be.
But, that's me everyone of us has to find our own way around this to find their way Forward.
Of course, New Traders are Focused on Learning a Method to Trade rather than how taking a Trade makes them FEEL.
It would work in every New Traders favour if they Focused on BOTH Method and Psychology in Tandom.
I know, for certain, it would have cut down my learning time.

Could you explain how you define market structure since is the basis of your system.

I trade market structure but I use the Zig zag to point to the structure.

Im interested because when traders talk about moving averages is what is nothing else nothing more but when people talk about market structure is different for everyone, even for me making small adjustement to the periods in the zig zag indicator it will change the market structure completely

Hi Frag,
Sorry for the late reply I have been away for a break.
I am looking mainly at Internal Structure on the 5M Time Frame so it is very Localised.
Of course, how we look at and Interpret Price comes down to Personal Experience.
I think, once we have learned the Basics of Price and how Structure Works we are all better off finding our own WAY of doing things and making it Work.
If you find using a ZigZag Indicator Works for YOU keep using and Improving it over time.
Everything comes down to Time and Experience with Studying Price
The Chart below shows what I am looking for, more or less, when it comes to Structure

Gold is currently trading sideways. I'm waiting for it to consolidate below 4993, then it might approach 4883.

I only interested in Short Term Price Structure
When possible, I want my Trade to fit within the most Recent Swing of Price.
If it doesn't, like the Pending Short Trade I have just Posted, I will Watch it very carefully

I like your strategy, but if the consolidation is above 5065, it will be dangerous and can easily reach the stop.

Today Price has been in a 380 Pip Trading Range
It's the nature of Short Term Trading, I was Wrong this time it happens.
