I wish I could go even a year without blowing an account so going 5 years without blowing one is an achievement in itself. It also says to me that you have discipline and decent risk management in place. This is just a blip in your trading journey and I have no doubt you’ll bounce back even stronger. Yesterday was just an anomaly with even the best traders losing money. Funny enough, the biggest beneficiaries were actually the traders that stayed away yesterday. If I decided to trade, I have a feeling I would have blown my account too. Green pips to us all next week

The closure of USA government is expected to be very brief due to the reason that the House of Representatives has not approved the bill yet. So it is possible that on Monday gold price will be back to 5000-5100. However, there is bunch of news next week so I think after that, TP should be done immediately and we can wait for more concrete structures to be form.

Had been trading on a setup for 2 years. But blew my account yesterday, after it costed me $10,000+ in slippeges. I was using my own Algo, but my broker gave too much slipage. Blew whole account in 1 day in slippeges. Looking for a better broker to trade xauusd. Slippage costed me my profitable setup.

...the old saying ' nothing keeps on going higher for ever ' springs to mind . Perhaps add a filter into your algo to stop trading once slippage goes to a certain level ?

Algos are not for hight impact news aka volatility.
You should shutdown your algo with a volatility like we have prior day.
Strategys can be profitable, but when volatility increase exponential no one is safe.
Not algos, not people, nothing... And of course will be when you find high slipages...
Just my opinion but is usefull for other people too...

Ahh bro that really hurts. Losing an account after 5 years is not a small thing. It actually shows how consistent and disciplined you have been and I truly respect that. Anyone would feel bad in this situation.
Still respect you stayed in this game for years made money and took risks. One bad phase cant erase all that experience. This happens to traders but most people never talk about it.
For now just rest and try to put the loss out of your mind. Come back on Monday with a fresh mindset. And dont forget to follow me and my charts hahahaha just joking bro.

Anyway yep 4700 is a very solid level if price respects it we can see a strong reaction from there. Lets see how price behaves when it gets close that zone is decision area for sure.
If 4700 doesnt hold then the next strong demand area i am looking is 4400-4500 but after last weeks big moves nothing is certain. If the market stays this volatile next week we need to trade more carefully. Hopefully things calm down in the coming week.

Not sure the selling is really over yet. It might have a dead cat bounce on Monday but buying this thinking it is going back up is not going to happen. We are not going to see 5600 anytime soon, at least that is what is the current action tells me.

I accurately predicted the end of move up on 28th as I watching the action and at the time it was clear. Obviously I was not thinking this will come down this fast. I though there might be some Iran escalation going to happen this weekend hence it was going up like that on the 28th but this move down yesterday clearly showed that this is some kind of momentum players doing there thing (like meme coins)

Buyer of everything this week is in such bad position
Gold currently buying up in weekend now but i dont think it is a good sign to buy, it even is a better sign to sell next week as it is open gap up in a down trend (currently at 493x)
A big setup for sell stay right at 497x (4990-5140 very big range even refine still get area of 10$ zone) and 528x
even BTC is dumping in weekend, one full TP entry sell low of BTC, it could even drop much more but im selling low lol

As we are in the weekend, is there any link to see the current price of gold. Are we expecting a gap upwards or downwards or is the market going to open flat without a jump?

Touched over 5k at one point but this gives you a sense of what current price is. Could open much higher or lower or relatively flat. Ultimately depends on what happens between now and tomorrow evening

my main broker was also doing terrible things to me yesterday. the spread keep on widening to 10 and 15 times normal spread for gold and silver, worst thing is they froze my platform somehow, i cant do anything, cant click on anything, platform not responding, strangely my ea still working behind the freezing screen luckily me ea was working as it is supposed to. i can only access my account using another backup pc where no ea installed into the platform in that pc. experiencing this, i stored another backup in my 3rd pc, just in case

what are we thinking about gold on monday and this week, i personally belive it would go down to around 4810 and then it might proceed till 4683( the last low) as theres a lot of resistance.
