This is working properly now, as far as RSI OBOS signals.
There is no Support/Resistance code, and it was never there.

I mean, there is some attempt to find SR levels, but they are not implemented in the arrow plotting conditions, and the way the SR is calculated is actually good for nothing.
So, YOU need to tell me, or the AI, how you want to calculate the SR levels, based on what?

I really appreciate your assistance @BestTraderEV, The below concept of my SR should help us get a strong SR that align with RSI for strong buy/sell order with arrow

Finding support and resistance (S/R) involves identifying significant peaks and troughs (swing highs/swing lows) on longer time frames, focusing on levels with multiple touches, and treating them as zones

Swing Highs & Lows (Peaks & Troughs):
Identify: Look for significant price tops (resistance) and bottoms (support) where price reversed sharply.
Time frame: Use higher time frames (4Hrs, daily, weekly) for stronger, more significant levels.
Focus: Draw horizontal lines connecting these points; the more touches, the stronger the level.
Zone vs. Line: Treat S/R as zones (areas) rather than single numbers to avoid false breakouts from temporary market "reflexes" (wicks).
Prioritize Key Levels: Focus on obvious, frequently touched levels near the current price, not obscure ones far away.
Role Reversal: A strong support level, once broken, often becomes a new resistance level, and vice versa.

Concepts
Fibonacci Retracements: Horizontal lines at 38.2%, 50%, 61.8% levels that can show potential pause points.
Pivot Points: Calculated 4Hrs, daily, weekly points (High, Low, Close) that act as potential S/R for the next period and hours.
Moving Averages: Act as dynamic support/resistance as price bounces off or struggles to break through them.

With these i hope i can get my RSI & SR with Arrow indicator. Thanks

Nobody can code what you just described.
There is no code which can do such general, non-specific assumptions.
You are using very general, discretionary descriptions, and no code can do this.
You would need to construct an AI and train it on tons of data and tons of chart patterns.
I strongly doubt that you have access to any such computer which could handle such a task.

Hello everyone,
When switching to another instrument using the Symbol Changer indicator on the same chart, all chart objects from the previous symbol are copied to the new one.
As a result, deleting objects on one symbol also deletes them on the other. I would appreciate it if anyone could help fix this issue

Yes Best, the EA keeps taking trades after the sl or tp is hit so what i would like is to make it get max 2 orders per reference candle, but only if it hits stoploss. if it hits take profit it should stop trading for the day. Can this be done? in Any circumstances the EA resets at 23:59 every dayif open positions they remain till sl or tp is hit.

That is if I place one trade and I try to place another, it closes the first trade before allowing the second trade

This is not the issue with this indicator!
The issue is in the indicator which plots objects and doesn't handle them properly.
Also, if you mean objects plotted manually by you, then it's up to you to manage those objects!
We can't just randomly make this indicator delete all objects when you switch the symbol, because of the potential inconsistency of the object plotting indicators! Some indicators don't recreate their objects because of poor coding, and if we deleted them by force, there would be another problem!
IOW, when you switch the symbol, you are not opening a new chart tab, but you are applying the new symbol to the existing chart template. So, this means that the existing chart template (all the indicators applied) should do their jobs properly!
You can use this script, if you want to quickly delete all objects!

What you want will require some new helpers and some tweaking, and some testing.
There will be other issues which you didn't think of, so... need time...

How does an EA detect that you are trying to place another trade???
Unless you are placing the trade form that EA, it can not.
So, you need some simple trade panel (with Close buttons) and then you can close the trade before opening a new one.
Otherwise a similar panel with buttons and an option to close the existing trade when you hit the Buy, or Sell button.

Now the EA has the following workflow:
// Prevent divide by zero errors
// Check if EA trading is allowed
// Skip if the first Position was closed by TP (EA stops doing anything until next day reference bar is detected)
NOTE: MT5 does not provide any reliable method to detect if the position was actually closed by TP, so the method used here is simply detecting if the Deal Profit was > 0 .
// Check for open Positions for Symbol and inpMagic and RefBar Time (assumption is 1 position open at a time only))
// If a Position exists, Set the Take Profit
NOTE1: Take Profit is determined after the Position is placed in order to assure the SL/TP ratio is correct.
NOTE2: In some cases, the EA may attempt to place a Position when the StopLevel is too close. In this case the SL is calculated as the StopLevel distance +/- the offset.
// Skip the rest of the code (1 Position is floating so EA has done it's job for now)

If all of the above let the EA go further:
// Skip if the reference bar doesn't exist, yet
// Skip if the sum of closed Deals and open Positions per RefBar = 2
// 1. Get High of reference bar
// 2. Get Low of reference bar
// 3. Determine Stop Loss Price, Break Price and Trade Direction
// 4. Execute Order (calculate LotSize in the function, set Take Profit as OrderModify())
NOTE: While calculating the LotSize by Risk%, the code checks if the calculated LotSize actually returns the input Risk%. If the calculated LotSize still exceeds the Risk% by any digit, the code lowers the LotSize by Step until the actual Risk% is <= the input Risk%.

Of course, it still needs testing, though I have been able to eliminate some issues which I have noticed.

Also, I predict that you will find other potential conditions of which you haven't thought yet.
You will discover them while testing this for many hours and days, and you will be asking why this Position was taken.
I can already answer that question - it was taken because you didn't ask to code this condition, so the chart pattern actually met the existing conditions for taking a Position.

Hi jeanlouie,

Sorry to bother you again. The indicator is awesome. Need you help to put:
1. ABC setup- Zone ( box) for" B" candle ( like SnD zone). As this candle become magnet and price will go back to that area again atleast once (or more)
2. An alert for both setups.
For you info ABC=for early setup and DEF is for continuing trend setup(and also can become a good tool to identify trend whether Bull or Bear)

It now takes entry as should but still immediately after the close at tp it reopens the same position with same sl but huge tp because of the distance to sl ofcourse

A GENERAL WARNING NOTE!!!
I have no idea what actually happened, but this morning I started my MT5 and it was a clean MT5 with only default files.
So, if I hadn't been regularly archiving all my codes, I would have lost all my work.
And, like I say, I have no idea what happened overnight???
Before closing my computer, I archived my files, and there was something wrong with the process, meaning that it stopped at 99%, but it also said that there were 0 bites to transfer. I don't know why that happened, but it happened.
Anyways, this shows that SHIT HAPPENS - so, people, archive your files regularly!!!

PS. I remembered a very important fact and now I know more:
What actually happened (most probable chain)

Key facts from your description

  1. MT5 was running
  2. Backup tool tried to copy log files
  3. Backup tool warned that a log file was in use
  4. You closed MT5 while the backup process was still active
  5. Backup showed 99% / 0 bytes
  6. MT5 was not launched again that night
  7. Next morning:

    1. Same data folder
    2. MQL5 content gone
    3. Restoring MQL5 fixed it




This combination points to an interrupted directory operation, not a folder switch.
The mechanism (what broke)
Backup tool enumerates MT5 data folder
Archivers don’t just “copy files” — they:

  1. Walk directory trees
  2. Build file lists
  3. Open file handles (even read-only)
  4. Cache metadata

At that moment:

  1. MT5 had log files open
  2. The archiver had handles open
  3. NTFS had pending operations

MT5 is closed while the archiver is still active
This is the critical moment.
When MT5 closes, it:

  1. Flushes logs
  2. Rotates log files
  3. Deletes or recreates some temporary files
  4. Updates internal state files in MQL5, Profiles, Bases

Meanwhile:

  1. The archiver is still holding references
  2. Windows is resolving file locks
  3. NTFS journaling is mid-transaction

This is exactly how directory entries can get orphaned.
NTFS journal resolves inconsistently
Windows is usually very good at recovery, but:

  1. If a directory tree is being enumerated
  2. And the owning process exits mid-operation
  3. And another process has open handles

Then Windows may:

  1. Roll back directory metadata
  2. Drop directory entries
  3. Leave the parent folder intact but empty

This explains perfectly:

  1. Same data folder
  2. MQL5 folder still exists
  3. Contents missing
  4. No error messages

No crash popup is required for this to happen.
MT5 launches next day → sees empty MQL5
MT5 does not restore missing code folders.
It simply:

  1. Sees MQL5 exists
  2. Sees default structure missing
  3. Recreates default subfolders only

So it looks like a clean install.

Why this is rare — but known
This is a classic Windows edge case:

  1. Long directory trees
  2. Active file rotation
  3. Third-party archivers
  4. Forced app shutdown

Developers, DB admins, and VM users run into this exact pattern.

How to make this impossible in the future
Rule #1 (most important)
Never close MT5 while a backup tool is scanning it
If a file is locked:

  1. Cancel backup
  2. Close MT5
  3. Wait 10–15 seconds
  4. Restart backup from scratch

Never mix the two.

Hello all I Have an ea called position sizer ea , it functions by placing horizontal lines at either current market price (instant) or levels above / below cmp to execute orders with defined parameters for risk . Currently i would like to add a fourth function for executing a market order on a trendline but keeping the current framework of the ea to do that , i would like for it to be something like this ea (

) but implemented into this one , i bought the ea in the video but it limited to only trendline functions so if i wanted to setup a pending order with the tl i would have to do manual calculations, I was attempting to add these functions using ai but i have kind of hit a stone wall , however at current the code has the basic functions , the only issues i have with it is 1. when cycling through the options it says stop limit instead of trendline , 2. when on the trendline function it still spawns the stop limit lines 3. the trend line spawning is dependent on price moving 4. currently the execute function is set to ontick , the idea i had fro this was that it would execute as price touched the tl instead of when it crossed to which would be more accurate but instead it executes when ever the bid/ ask interacts with any part of the tl , honestly idk if this is doable so if necessary then executing on the cross would be fine .
