So, in case you placed the main indicator in some subfolder, the ZigZag.ex4 also needs to be there or it can't be found and iCustom() freezes the platform. Unfortunatelly, iCustom() freezes the platform if the referenced indicator can't be found or there are other mistakes in the iCustom()...

So, the MA is the directional indication.
The Bands are the Swing and/or Retest in Trend indications.

Hello All I’m using an ATR-based volatility filter in an M5 scalper, but I’ve realized ATR doesn’t account for direction, only movement size. Has anyone here implemented a directional volatility or momentum filter that confirms volatility in the same direction as the trade? I’d really appreciate suggestions or examples that work well in live trading.
The lines stay much closer to the retraced candles, providing significantly more precise entry points.

I really like the way you’re thinking about directional volatility, filtering entries based on actual momentum rather than generic ATR makes a lot of sense for scalping.
If anyone else is trying this, the key takeaway is: measure price displacement relative to a higher-timeframe ATR (H1 in this case), set a minimum % threshold, and only allow trades once the price has “proven” its momentum in the intended direction. It’s simple conceptually but can clean up a lot of noisy signals.
Curious, have you tested this live on multiple pairs, or mostly on one instrument?

Early results show the filter is very effective at removing low-energy entries, especially during choppy sessions. It doesn’t prevent losses entirely, of course, but it significantly reduces trades taken before real participation enters the market.
Next step for me is tightening it further with entry-timing logic (to avoid late continuation entries after momentum has already peaked), but as a volatility gate on its own, it’s been solid.
Still testing and refining, but definitely promising so far.
