5: Exxon refused, Philips conoco, refused, Chevron agreed, the former left, the lather stayed.
6: Much of the oil infrastructure was built by the brits, way earlier, these new companies only maintained and upgraded existing infrastructure.

7: Exxon and philip conoco sued, Venezuelen funds held internationally/US banks were seized, philip conocco was paid almost all of its money, Exxon was paid less, its still owed some money, however since than, Venezuela have been under sanctions - with small periods were sanctions are removed and re-instated, making it impossible to pay back or even develop.
