This thread is mainly for people using EAs to trade Gold. You’re welcome to share your interactive trading setups, systems, settings, backtests, live results, screenshots, or anything else related to automated Gold trading.

Manual traders are also welcome to post their bias, charts, trade ideas, and setups, but the main focus of the thread is EA and system-based trading of Gold.

Feel free to share whatever you’re comfortable sharing.

I've been a fan of Bitcoin for some time because of its price action but after looking at Gold for the past few days, I think Gold is starting to win me over. Of course Bitcoin is a beast but Gold also, appears to be a beast.

Hey there friend. Yes, let’s do a deep dive into Gold. Another reason it’s starting to win me over is because brokers seem to be offering several XAU crosses. I think brokers will soon start offering BTC crosses too.

technicaluu if AUDUSD is oversold/overbout, then XAUAUD is better than XAUUSD since:

XAUAUD = XAUUSD/AUDUSD
has double impulses . .

it is a matter of simple math .

That's interesting. I mean, the math seems correct in terms of relationship and yeah, I guess if AUDUSD is oversold then XAUUSD should move more than XAUUSD. But in that oversold case trading XAUAUD instead of XAUUSD is basically taking double exposure. I wonder if there really is a double impulse for free.

here XAUAUD .. has two influencers (two pushers) in the same direction . .

I'm trying to understand, so for XAUUSD to get two pushes up, there would have to be XAUUSD going up and AUD getting weak so AUDUSD going down. It seems like when AUDUSD is oversold and bounces up, that would actually work against XAUDUSD going up, is that right?

Okay I understand now what you're saying. XAUUSD is the mountain, the price discovery, XAUUSD is the small stone, so /USD affects /AUD. In other words, XAUAUD doesn't drive XAUUSD since US is the heavily traded pair and XAUAUD is basically an exotic. The global liquidity is for sure in Gold quoted in USD. So the double impulse is basically because XAUAUD is basically mechanically being dragged by AUDUSD's move.
