That is a very inaccurate method because it only takes into account the starting point of the trend line and ignores subsequent peaks, which may be well below or above the trend line. What's more, it requires the user to make settings that should not be imposed on them.
In fact, even the frequently used ZigZag-based trend lines are often inaccurate, because it often happens that the ZigZag peaks do not coincide with the valid trend line peaks.

What's the improvement?
Since we are interested in thresholds 1.2 and -1.2, we don't need to see when the spike goes way further, so I limited the minimum and maximum of the whole subwindow.
