most traders use leverage.
what maaters is used margin that is real money that was used for the trade.
so if you have 500:1 leverage then 0.1 is 10K trade lot but it will be around 20$ in used margin so 20$ is counted not 10,000$
so when you see a litllie more zeros 500k or millions or more then you know big traders are IN.
other wise its just retail traders providing liquidity to the market.

so if i were you i will not be a trading to provide liquidity to the market.
i will enter when high volume trades are happening.
20$ up or down is not a movement
yesterday was a move and nice one to be honest.
but not today.
gold could go down 50$ and still there is not much data i see sometimes and hours later it is back.

as the romans said: if you can't beat them join them.

for me it is very simple JOIN THEM.

and one guy Ken Griffin enters with 21B and those retail traders got hit hard.
that is what they do.
they cannot create money it has to come from some where right?
retail traders are a very large pool much bigger then you might think.
even 50k are considered average account.
i know because i was taught the difference.
and those who dont use leverage called mute accounts.
interesting names i heard many actually.

be careful it will be tricky
chances are 4150-60 might not get passed that easy as you might think.
and on the other hand 4050-60 have blue dots and size mattes because big trades means bigger lots.
so when there is 10-100K trades are there that is billions of Dollars
that is what they call sweet spot.

hit sl at b/e +4 , re-entered at 4127 to go short target now 4100-4090 hopefully before news

Was reading an article which explains the difference between Paper vs Physical bullion/bar and the flows happening in LMBA vs Comex vs SGE.

While west runs after paper trading, SGE buys directly the physical metals. While they buy at a premium ($2-$5/ounce), paper price stuck in a range.
When they dries up SGE vault, they approach LMBA and COMEX, they buy the paper take the deliveries and sold at the premium, bacause GOLD that goes to SGE are customs duty free and VAT free, as the accounting in the book is referred as money.

So this is same as leverage, except no matter the amount of shorts in paper trading, the physical deliveries sweep everything, does not matter whether leverage or not.
This explains why Asian always set the trend.

confusing PA for me today. Remaining sidelined for the moment.

Yes, I agree with others that it should head down and retest ~4100 again, however, nothing is a given lol.

If we continue bullish, i'm looking at ~4160, in extension ~4185

When the decision is done pre entry or decision is made by just following what price is doing?

For me, the best trading decisions come from following what the price is actually doing in real time. Pre-entry planning is important, but reacting to the live behavior of price gives a clearer idea of what the market really wants to do. This is also the same advice I received before when I asked someone the same question... always let the price guide your decision
