Demo millionaire

We know that demo trading is easier and usually much more profitable than real money trading, mainly due to emotional, execution and risk reasons.
I have tested many brokers live and demo and have not noticed much difference in trade execution.
If you agree, we are left with emotions and risk, both are trader specific.
Consequently, is the trader his own obstacle from being profitable or more profitable ?

In the attached explorer, I attached a demo account that I opened and "manually" traded this week, and was able to double it with less than < 20% draw down.

Yes, if you treated/trade it was money account, you learn that you have a change to make money.

But was your experiment real ?
Position size 0.4 to 10, its more than 20 times difference.
You toke 1-3 point winners and let some of trades run 80 points against you.

Some people think and recommend, if you know how your trading platform works put your money at risk.
Like some kind of miracle happens and losing demo trader will be turned successful when 1st money trade is placed.

Emotion are even real in demo trading.
Lot of "prop" evaluation traders blow up when they close to get funded.
They set expectation on themselves, I need to pass it with next trade, only 50$ needed. When that trade
fails emotions will rise and before they notice, how the hell I managed to blow up accounts.

I agree with all your comments.
I was mainly trading in a "Scalping" mode, except for few trades.
Price Averaging was also used. Few trades were left to their fate overnight.
But I think what really helped is the Gold market staying in a relatively narrow range last week.

Zooming in on yesterday's trading from 18:45 to to 21:15 (area in Red Box).



Trading (scalping) during this period of 2:30 hours generated profit of 14K+, (+7.5% equity).

So account was doubled in one week, and blown up the next week. Typical unresponsible trading.
Next week is another story.

I’s mostly emotions and risk that mess people up not execution. Your demo run proves it, you followed your plan, managed risk, and it worked. Shows that the biggest thing holding traders back is themselves.

Interesting results — I’ve been experimenting with lower time‑frame systems myself, layering a few MTF indicators to try and clean the noise. I have lots and lots of demo accounts in profit yet I still don't feel that confident in going fully live with my new system yet.
