What’s firing Powell going to achieve ? Rhetorical question.

The US can ( at the present time ) service its debt . By lowering rates, of course , the payments are reduced . If the economy then expands inflation is likely to surpass the current level of 2.9% . If the economy slows and falls into a temporary recession then deflationary factors naturally suppress inflationary pressures .

Which is it then ?

A Rock and a Hard Place for the Fed and the administration . The burden however ( and without a shadow of a doubt ) always falls on the populace . Rarely is the burden distributed evenly according to wealth
