Covered all of the upper singles this week, was the exact point of reversal at 4240..

Looks most likely to cover the wick above, to around 4233 before going lower.

I spent the last weeks trading a demo account as I have been way off with my strategy recently and far to many losing trades, needed to remind myself what works with zero emotional bias. Took one of them from £1.5k to £200k in around 6 hours and then proceeded to lose the lot getting greedy AF lol.

expecting a bullish reaction from these zones:

  1. 4071–4066
  2. 4052–4043

If these hold, buyers can easily push up from here.
If bulls don’t defend the zones above, then...

Good spot buyers tried a few times to push through 4110, but sellers said no. That tells us sellers don’t want to give it up and are defending 4110–4115 hard right now proof they’re still active. Sellers stop being active only when their candles and tick-by-tick pushes weaken noticeably. You also see buyers defending our 4075–4071 zone. Buyers attacked hard from 4030 the breakout from Monday. It’s always a battle around key price level zones. Then you watch the fights candle-by-candle, even tick-by-tick: wicks give insight, bodies too. Are they breaking clean, or is it just a fake-out during the fight?
For buyers, the next important zone they want back is 4147–4141 past resistance and the forceful breakout on Nov 12.
Buyers were very strong there, so it makes sense they’ll try to break it again. Because sellers also defended there, it’s already a key zone for buyers to reclaim. If buyers break and hold 4147–4141 clean, the next battle is 4210–4203, where many sellers have been pushing back look Nov 12 to 14 sellers were strong. If buyers break 4210–4203, then 4242 should be easy to revisit, signaling buyers reclaimed the prior 4147–4141 breakout zone again.
For sellers, the key is to break 4030–4022 Monday’s buyer breakout zone. They’ll want to break it and hold. That’s the biggest fight now: each side is trying to overturn the prior 2 buyers breakouts. Buyers want back above the Nov 12 breakout zone 4147–4141 and hold sellers want to break 4030–4022 the Nov 10 buyer breakout and hold. Whoever accomplishes their break and hold shows they’re stronger and ready to push further.
How far can sellers go, or where will buyers return? No crystal ball but past zones give clues about where the next fights will be and which side tends to be stronger there. And once those prices are broken and held, neither side is likely to stop immediately these are important zones for both to take and clean can hold. But you see sellers are closer to 4030-4022 zone then buyers are to 4147-4141. If sellers drive price back to 4030 and buyers don’t defend 4030–4022, and sellers then reclaim below 4022, buyers have given up a key zone. All the buyers who refused to give up 4030 Monday’s breakout zone have themselves switched to sellers.

Thank you to everyone on this forum for your input and opinions. I've found some value here!
My contributions are minimal as I am not a super experienced trader.
I try to follow the roadmap, 1min->5min->15->30->1hr->4hr.
Easier said than done of course!
Having zero assumptions is I think the key. Follow the price action. As with any ticker.
I don't think XAUUSD is any different from others, even EURUSD, there are always reversals and surprises, it just happens more quickly with Gold.

My thoughts on the week ahead - H4 (attached) shows significant selling pressure. PSAR shows accelerating downtrend.
We may see some upside first but will be watching for another waterfall at some point this week.

Of course that can change in a moment. I always take losses when making assumptions or trying to hold against trend.
DO NOT TRADE COUNTERTREND! There are no reliable countertrend patterns and it is essentially gambling.
DO NOT TRADE IN BARBED WIRE! Wait for further price action.

Luck is not a factor. Or I'd say good luck. Trade smart!

Always set a stop loss, add in to successful trades, hold to target, don't take low risk to reward entries (eg., scalping the 1 minute chart - bad idea).

This last week was a great example of holding. Long from Sunday open, until Thursday, and then entered the waterfall.

Gold shifted to sells after it tested 4245 area and it closed to end the week around 4080-82, bears will likely continue with the downward push to any of these three levels before the buy start again, 4020, 4000 and 3960-30, with the 3960-30 area having a higher probability of starting the buy followed by 4000 ,
so there's a high chance the sell will reach 3960-30 before the buy start, but gold can start buying from any place it wants and whatever be the case there will be update throughout the week so it wouldn't be a big issue.

A sell after market open at anywhere within 4084-94 and an sl at 4111 with tp at 4000, 3965 or a minimum of 600 pips and a good confirmation of more sell is if price closes below 4055-53.

I think weeky range low is the key level we have to give attention.I will wait Daily/4H Candle range confirmation on that level.So many stop orders are placed on 4010.I expect price will consolidate 4010-4000

Honestly i am counting that price can have minimun an expansion of 117k, but again monday is important, particulary her open...

we expect price to continue down till 4006 area, once reach, 4006 ~ 3990 is the real buyers area to defend.

agree cuz there was no structure for longs on 13 and 14 and price was pumping crazy even after the end of gov shutdown currently I also don't see structure for longs near but shorting on the new highs is what i think will be safe and rewarding and also there are nice targets to get in the down side...
