It's from 2019 so maybe there have been trade acceptance practice changes by individual businesses since then, who knows.

I realize that the market operate as hologram and always in full fractal and the beauty of George approach is look everything from his meta-fractality lens.

Currencies, NOT pairs that we are offered in forex


And if so, some might speculate that the REAL game is then way above & apart from the one we in retail play.
Some might even say that we in retail trade in a totally isolated or segregated (part) of a bigger game, who knows.

And, if so, what mischief might take place in a segregated (video game style) part of a bigger game of money exchange between national currencies.
Just someone's opinion is all.
Personally I tend to think it is all just very well organised rather than manipulated.


All speculation of course.
And in the end, it all doesn’t matter one bit to me.
I trade what I see, as a simple discretionary trader working inside a non centralised informal market.
It’s is all I can do.

To simplify & just to suit myself
I have come to think of both randomness & chaotic appearance
as merely an aggregation or accumulation of all the unrealised as yet (TP or SL) trades sitting sitting in the big basket (accessed by whom, who knows)

Then it becomes just business as usual imo where a trader's job (my job) is to be with the (ultimate) flow either to a target or away from a target at a point on the chart where it has some clarity (to me).

This is usually but not always maybe the first level of Liquidity Provider. And as Jankovsky in his Time
Compression book pointed out, and quite interestingly I thought, ultimately WE do not make ourselves a winner by
our directional trade but only what OTHER traders do and AFTER US that determines future price
direction and whether we win or lose. )

I agree.

Just curious how this statement gets rectified with "predictive" tools that give us the assumed direction beforehand.

Because, as I said I agree yet there is a mathematical positive in predictive tools (no matter what tools are).

imho

As traders I think we all 'know' (to a certain percentage) what that ultimate direction would/will be
(and maybe 85% to 95% of the time)

It is then maybe the 5-15% of the time we are not with it, where traders can get blustered out of their trade
as we are reluctant to let go of our prediction due to our usual percentages of correctness

So in the end we are better traders maybe if recognising, usually as it is happening, that our direction timing is NOT going this time with our percentages.
(even though, ultimately, or in a later session or day, the market corrects itself again to what we originally thought direction-wise)

I usually try & get out quick if it happens against the grain (I still get caught sometimes, that's just me lol)
and I think when direction goes against us is that the market aggregation was probably loaded too heavily with us all in that time period.

Which always brings me back to "who then is always taking the opposite side to our trades". There lies some clue maybe hahaa, who knows.

This,

"who then is always taking the opposite side to our trades"

can become complicated.

In my case there is another person or entity that takes the trade. I assume with fx and cfd's that is often the broker (not always directly, it could be the broker using traders to balance most of those trades internally).

Then consider short term traders who live in the "noise" of other traders. We may likely just be providing some long term joker what he needs - contracts.

I'm thinking some (many) get passed on. An example would be open interest (same as holding longer term). A trade entered and closed on our end may still exist for the other party. Or does it?

Complicated business.

Hi deany,

Mate while it's fun to have suppositions of what & how the markets work,
our eyes can quickly tell us where the market (traders large & small) like to do their business and are "likely" to do some more business.

Their business lol is - introducing & adding liquidity (new orders)
and
also removing liquidity, in a way (by TP and/or SL)

It's all on the charts imo (as each day opens anew)
and not just currencies apparently, if we are observant and plan ahead

Who though, might be attracted at the Attractors ?


I'm always thinking its likely small & larger traders, bringing in new liquidity with their orders or removing it through TP or SL
(with maybe one buying, and one also selling at the same time, who knows )

Which is why I also put brackets around any pivot lines of support & resistance,
as rather than seeing them AS S&R, I see them more like points of attraction.
