My targets for the week: SPX: a break of 6900 upside, a break of 6700 downside. I am leaning long.

NDX: I think we could see a 1,000-1,500 pts range. Targeting 26,500 up and 24,800 down.

The scenarios I am trading, mainly two: markets will be static to grinding up until Wed, and may push up harder after the FOMC gives the rate cut then. There's a lesser chance of slippage on Wed, if the FOMC pulls back on expected future cutting plans or expresses concern about the economy or stock valuations.

Post FOMC and megacap earnings: the rate cut is bullish. On top of that we have the biggest AI megacap stocks doing their ERs on 10/29-10/30. Most of those will probably be big beats and that will be bullish for the SnP and the Nas100. There's a chance that some could post ok ERs but their stocks could slide because expectations were too high.

On top of all that there is potential for positive news on the US-China trade war front. Given all of the above, 10/27 week is set to be a continuation of the AI-driven bull market. I know the latter is unsustainable and the letdown will be epic, but it's not gonna be easy to call that top.

it is exactly the time to be buying. In a bull market, you just buy. Eventually, you will be the hapless dweeb who buys the top. I have been that guy. But, if you bought the index after every 1-2% gain in the last 8 months, where would you be now? Well up, that's where.

There used to be a cool trader here, PayTheLimit - he was an old hand pro, and that philosophy was right there in his handle. His best trades (and you could bet there were some that made him rich) were ones where he bought into a bull run. He paid the limit, or in other words, he bought at the top.

A common mistake all traders make is to try to find the top in bull markets. There will be a top, but you're not going to predict it. This bull market could run for another 2-3 months or another 2-3 years. Keep some powder dry to short it when the bears come in, but don't be shy about paying the limit until then.

Yes, it is true. I am not saying the information contained is right or wrong, on face value maybe some of what is purported maybe relevant but if you took enough speech from any individual you can fabricate any narrative you desire. Take the KPI mentioned: the Deliquency Velocity:

The delinquency velocity in the USA has shown a slight decline in recent months, with the overall delinquency rate inching up to 2.9% in June 2025. This rate is below the peak of 3.2% in December 2024 but remains historically low.
This contradicts or at least does not agree with the entire basis of the article.

We have had exactly zero selloffs in 6 months, wait for the very first selloff to look for more. And, no we will never see 5k on the spx again baring an actual black swan, and you don't what what that would do to the whole world.

Fed can’t reduce inflation anymore, they made it stable which is their actual mandate. Housing is a complete mess because most everyone has such a low rate locked in they can’t move at current interest rates. I’m one if them, no way would I trade my rate at current levels. People moving is a large component of economic growth because of all the ripple and follow on effects.

I know exactly where inflation is and where it has been. I have said for months that the Fed has no choice but to lower a few times because prices are stuck "around" 3% but the employment situation is terrible. Basically no jobs have been created in 2 years. That's a catastrophe, current price inflation is an annoyance. They are not going to ignore a catastrophe in favor of an annoyance.

Look at this thread, the people who were bearish months ago are again posting reasons the market should drop. They are stuck in a bear mindset that they can't break free from which incorrectly colors their view of everything. Look at the chart, show it to a 6 year old and ask which direction it is going. That is all you need to know. Fighting the Fed and fighting the trend is simply mathematically illogical.

When, and only when, we get actual selling that breaks a support level can you start to think about the trend changing.

Honestly I think I do understand, that’s why I’ve said I agree with you, in theory. Debt, deficits, ai bubble, ai job destruction, ai marriage destruction, ai birth rate destruction, wealth inequality, pay way out of line vs expenses, fiat worthless, etc.

Funny how it took hundreds of spx points for people to come over to 35T’s prognostications from months ago lol. A bull market is a bull market until it stops. No one in history has ever consistently called tops, so why would anyone try?

The important question now is where is SPX support? Was 6550 as I pointed out many times. It’s at least 6650 now, but I’m guessing it’s higher. Can’t really tell until we have a pullback, but who knows when that will be.
