The question is: is this Trump's "it's a good time to buy stocks" version 2? If so, the following tweet will be "I have decided to postpone the tariff increase until we talk further". Or, "we have mutually agreed to postpone the Nov 1 implementations..."

Gonna be a wild open, that's for sure. (But will still seem tame in light of the massive down move and extra, after-hours pressure to the downside).

For what it's worth, equities trading post-futures close regained all the ground lost due to the tariff tweet by the time those equities closed Friday. Thin trading during that period so it's anyone's guess as to where the market opens tonight, where it is after ,90 seconds, and where the US cash markets open tomorrow.

Personally, now that the futures roll gaps have all been filled, I would like to see a lower /vx and resume the march higher until we actually KNOW something about the November implementations.

We were set to gap down 50 spx points after futures closed Friday. Now it will be a 30 plus point gap up. Probably up at least 100 points tomorrow. Anyone short might as well close your account lol.
