I think the Fed will cut much, much more than expected. With Gold near 4000$ and Silver near the all time high, the situation has never been more interesting.

I think the inflation mandate will be thrown out of the window completely knowing the current Fed.

Having been short for some time, I certainly won't complain about a red daily bar, but can bears really get worked up about this gold move? It's 60 pts down from ATHs after being up 1283 points YTD.

The silver move is much more impressive today (FINALLY!), but I was expecting/hoping/am anxiously awaiting /gc to catch up to /si. We've seen these fake outs all too often (2 days ago for example). That said, if the pattern holds, the 3-day candlestick patterns for both instruments (but /gc in particular) look like evening stars....here's hoping today isn't a repeat of the similar Sept. 24 action.

Both /si and /gc can support a 10-15% move down and STILL be up magnificently for the year. I'll be thrilled with a /gc pullback to the 20day MA (around 3750)...and would expect a LOT of buyers at that level.

...........and because I need/want it, there's probably a 1% chance of that happening

***edit: options markets say there's a 4% chance by Friday's close. Ha....4x my odds....go figure.
