I do agree that there is a certain fallacy in @Erebus claim that "everything has already been thought of by someone by now",
however I strongly doubt that a "genius" of the kind who is unable to quote another users post correctly, will be the one who is likely to think of something that has never been thought of before.


PS. Not to mention someone who can't even use a search engine, or doesn't know their trading platform...

Anyhow.. I took a couple of indicators posted recently, one coded by a pompous know-it-all.. then coded an EA on an observation. Here's the result.
One pair EJ, 20$ equity tested for 2025.
Not too bad for someone who doesn't know their trading platform.

The fact is I downloaded a couple of indicators and coded an EA that seems ok.. early days. They usually take about a year of work to fine tune & evaluate. Then I add to the collection.
So.... oh mighty one.. how many successful EAs you got running on live accounts? Do tell.
Let me guess you are a very successful trader, a multi multi million big buck high roller.. who looks in on this thread from time to time because you're a benevolent philanthropic bored genius.

Exactly zero - because they never bring any profit, unless we sell them to ignorant, naive people.

As for the rest, yes, I am doing this for no reward whatsoever - never got a single penny from anybody I helped, here, or anywhere alse.

The first screenshot is the 1H, the second is 4H chart the indicator settings 1H, I tried changing the MTF on higher TF nothing changed.

I am not complaining, I googled and tried them all before I asked here nothing worked so far, I am just informing you that it is not working maybe you have a solution or another indicator, this is what I meant.

If you think that there exists an indicator which "works", in the sense that the signals will make money for you, well...
I am sorry to disappoint you, but there doesn't exist any such indicator.
You need to completely change your mindset!
This is just a game of luck and some intuition, and maybe some reason, but only in the long time, 20 - 30 years investments.
There is maybe 1%-2% statistical chance that any one of us will be the one who can make "a millon from a thousand" in a short time.

I agree with all what you said, there is a lot of factors that need to be considered before getting in any trade. Follow high timeframes, indicators help in recognizing overbought and oversold, trends, combine this with price action, support and resistance inform your self with the related news and what the central bank wants to achieve, all this will help in making better decisions in trading.
