I think BeeTogether is trying to say that if the comments are dovish then the pound will sell off. It might not make the dollar stronger but the pound being weaker means that GBPUSD will still drop. The dollar doesn’t necessary have to strengthen for the pair to drop.

I think if BOE cut rates it would boost global uncertainty in this current climate, adding to the risk sentiment and further weaken DXY but who knows. I think in a normal market condition yes it would drive DXY up

yes i will be,
but everyone knows rate cut is coming no surprize there,
what investors are looking for is if ther is a memeber voting for 50 points rate cut,
and if anyone did then Pound will go down fast and hard.
and also the statement from BOE investors will look for clues of future rate predictions,
is this one time cut and thats it or more may come,
that will move the pound and if that did.
Then gold will go back to 50 or even lower.

Let's be honest.. we all want gold to plummet down in price, so that we can go for longs .
Gold is supposed to be an investing commodity, the lower the prices the better controlled it is .

This same date last year - Gold was at $2382 n lo n behold, its at $3382 currently .
Thats more than 42% spike already- n some you guys are still wanting to push gold higher into new ATHs !?
Like cmon ..! not saying its not possible , but definitely seems less probable .
Its a probability game after all --

Oh my bad. I was just referring to the GBP pairs. All the GBP pairs will dump. It won’t necessarily affect gold. Hope it’s clear now

If you are ever in this situation (which is pretty much daily), then best thing to do is just observe and perhaps wait for news or NY open. I understand we all want to jump in the market but patience is key.
