you should learn about macros economics, that will answer the thing. Your currency worth less => you will pay more USD to import, get less FX when export, and easier to export than import thing. But one problem, if you want to export to USA, you must use USD, for example a product A worth 1000 USD which is aprox 852 EUR, taxes by 15% => 1150 USD when sell at USA. If dollar keep droping, for example: 1000 USD = 800 EUR but you in EU still want to sell at 852 EUR + 127 EUR = 1223 USD!!!!!! That mean, your product much more expensive. And USA is a big consumer country. Currently Trump want bring back production line to US, therefore they want their money weak, which brought them advantage of export. If you want by pass this tariff barrier, your currency also need to be weak otherwise you can't sale a thing in US!!! even weaker than USD.
China is the target for this, due to over-product, EU is just another victim which is getting ban for being transhipment product from China. Same problem with Japan in 198x (The lost decade). US do the same thing with Japan to maintain their dominant. If china can't sell goods, their economy become deflatation which is the most scary thing happen to Japan. It was last for 30 years, currently Japan got some first sign of inflation above 1%
