Disliked{quote} Do you have a system where you move your stop loss to break even once 1r is secured? Also just to confirm, do you only take buy/sells below or above the 3 ema (50/100/200) Nova ema is above or below 0 depending on buy or sells do you wait for a slight pullback after the signal comes before committing. I just had a trade where my stop loss was 1 pip too short, i commited abit late on this entry. first one is a loss. {image}Ignored
This is the entry you should have had but I saw you said you committed late.
If you do this, then it is better to try and get an entry as close or better than the 3rd bar open entry.
Regarding what I do, if I am confident with the trend i.e volume is strong I will usually just leave my trades to the market gods.
I'll never allow myself to take a dumb loss though i.e almost hitting TP and reverses so I would set to break even in that case.
So a good rule of thumb to start with is to BE at 1:1 or 1:1.5 whatever you prefer.
If you get a 0 level cross on nova for a higher TF then yes it would ususally be followed by a pullback on the M1 which can often be the very start of a new trend.
