The easy prediction is it will be a Vance vs. Newsom repeat of Trump vs Harris. Idk, though. both have popularity issues. Vance would certainly be challenged from inside the GOP, lots of names would gladly enter that fight - Rubio would probably be the strongest, among many. For the Dems, phew, they have brand issues and need some new blood to get broad appeal. I'm not sure who that could be, will likely be some surprise candidates. Of the usual names, other than Newsom, maybe Buttigieg? AOC would make for some good theatre, but America has already said it's not ready for a female POTUS.

Haha, there's a "newsroom" scene about fixing this issue as well. The new station requires ID checks including name, occupation, and level of education to post on their forum. The plan? To "ghettoize every other website and single-handedly fix the internet". It works (fewer troll posts), but then results in a death threat....so there's that :-P

Of course, we (I, you, all of us with usernames) are still "anonymous" (heck, I ghosted these forums for over a decade before registering/posting)...but at least we aren't signing up for multiple screen names and playing off one another.

Vance v Newsome makes sense, it will be a tough fight. I don’t see anyone successfully challenging either. AOC can’t get elected because she is literally unintelligent just like Harris. Americans would absolutely vote for a female, but there has yet to be a strong female candidate.

Non Americans don’t seem to understand how universally hated Harris is. Incompetent, proven liar, incapable of stringing a sentence together, literally slept her way to the top. Most didn’t vote for Trump because they like him, they did so because there wasn’t much of a choice.

What about him?
Every Republican I know would love for him to run NY. Communism has failed every single time it’s been tried. Capitalism has succeeded. If he replaces for profit businesses with state run entities, taxes the rich so much they all leave, and replaces police with social workers NYC will become a hellscape. It would prove once and for all that far left progressives are simply wrong.

I miss the days of my youth where the left and right actually negotiated and compromised for the betterment of the country. It makes absolute sense to debate how we spend on social programs, what we do internationally, how many regulations we have.

It makes no sense to suggest communism is somehow better than well regulated capitalism.

The wealth divide is ridiculous worldwide. Extremely rich people in every country including Russia and China. Not sure what that has to do with it, it’s the same everywhere.

He is on record for replacing for profit grocery stores with state run ones, that is by definition communism. He is much farther left than your standard socialist here, so I suppose people have to refer to him somehow.

Addressing the wealth divide comes down to intelligent debate and rational compromise. But there are no politicians currently willing to do so on either side.

To be perfectly honest, we need a citizen swap. There are a lot of people in the world who would love to be Americans and who believe in working hard for the American dream of success. There are also a lot of Americans who like how socialism works in other countries. There are a lot, I mean a lot, of countries that love socialism, not working hard, having the government do everything for you, hate guns, hate free speech etc.

There is only one America. So those in the US who don’t like it need to trade places with people who do want to come here. Problem solved. Because you are never going to convince the majority here that communism or sudo communism is the way to go.

You have seen me post repeatedly that the wealth divide is ridiculous and will someday result in a revolution. So your question is nonsensical.

You don’t address problems by letting incompetence run things. The government does not create anything, it’s takes a dollar in taxes, wastes half of it then spends the other half where the lobbyists tell them to.

Spending all our money on non Americans and on a flu caused most of current problems. We could have helped those on the lowering rungs with all that money. Pay DC politicians a million dollars a year and never let them money from anyone, problem solved. We will get people in power that will do what’s best for the majority.

You’ve misidentified me as a poster I’m not even aware of once in the past, and again here. I can’t think of a single reason why anyone would concern themselves with secretly logging in and out to leave comments here. It makes no sense.

I’m the guy who remembers that week recently where you had to inject your “all the makings of a dead cat bounce” declaration in every article. That was about 1,000+ points ago on the S&P500.
