Day Trading with Liquidity Zones and Price Action

  1. Identify Liquidity Zones on Daily and 1 Hr charts (fresh zones are better) - CRITICAL
  2. Move to 5 min charts or lower TF and trade using basic price action. (market structure break etc.) - IMPORTANT
  3. Trade only during timeframes where there is high liquidity (London Open to London Close is one option) - CRITICAL
  4. Volume is a useful tool when used appropriately. - IMPORTANT
  5. Use proper risk and trade management - CRITICAL
  6. Candlestick patterns are useful (Bullish engulfing, Bearish engulfing, M, W, Head and Shoulders, Inverted Head and Shoulders) - IMPORTANT

DO NOT TRADE WITHOUT MARKING THE LIQUIDITY ZONES ON YOUR CHARTS. FROM MY EXPERIENCE, THESE BEAT EVERY INDICATOR I HAD EVER TRIED EXCEPT VOLUME.

Hi Smmtrader

Very nice trading in this thread which is similar to my trading style. On forex markets, I find you can use ATR instead of volume to give a clearer picture of current momentum.
I personally trade the 2 minute chart over the 5 minute chart because here we can also use speed as a reversal signal when it hits liquidity zones. An urgent spike produces an urgent reversal and is good for a handful of pips.
I agree the best liquidity zones are formed by 1 hour tops and bottoms but even better is the stop runs that sit above or below these zones which offer easy reversal trades.

Welcome to the thread and thank you for your kind words. I agree - the stop runs that happen - especially near equal highs and lows which are just outside the fresh liquidity zones (I use D1 and H1 zones) offer trading opportunities towards and away from the zones (depending on market structure and price action).
