The hypocrisy of that statement as he tries on a daily basis to hound the Fed to yield to his political will .

His verbal barrage isn’t restricted to the Fed . He’ll gladly go after anyone who doubts the emperors logic , even his own senators.

Doesn't invalidate anything about the psychology of markets. The rise and fall portions of the diagram don't necessarily have to have the same time unit duration. The decline to fair value can be very quick or not so quick, recovery can be fast too, although for individual sectors and stocks that once rocketed to crackhead levels like CSCO, the ascent back has been quite long and not always successful - notice I'm using CSCO here because it doesn't take a shitty company for this to happen, I'm winking at you NVDA fans here.

Lowering a quarter or even a half wouldn’t be the end of the world, but I don’t see anything happening that would get us to 2% let alone 1%. Imo it would have to be quite ugly to even think of going there.

I was a floor trader for the Long Term Capital fiasco, dot com bubble, upstairs trader during 2008. I’ve watched the market psychology in both extremes. I just like to remind myself, and others, that’s markets can do what they want, whenever they want, for however long they want. Are stocks overdone? Are people whistling past a graveyard? Absolutely could be. But that’s what they said in 1998, took years of parabolic moves before the drop.
