Dear UsrPolar,
I extend my best wishes for the success of this script/project and hope it delivers optimal results. I have been running the script for 8 to 10 hours; however, no Buy or Sell orders have been generated. The signal consistently remains set to "None," and no trades are occurring. Even after several hours, it never displays a 5/5 win rate for either Buy or Sell positions. I trust that you have thoroughly tested and reviewed the program. Kindly inform me if there is any issue present. Additionally, could you please confirm approximately how many trades are expected to be executed by this script in a single day?

Hello,
managed to resolve the issue.
ICMarkets has filling type Immediat or Cancel. After changing the code i have restarted MT5. But still no trades. We`ll see next week.
You can check your specification in the instrument.

Hello. I'm also trying to run a robot but I can't get it to work. I'm using Vantage, but it works with Roboforex.

It depends. Usually, 3-4 trades per week.

Guys,

I discovered a problem with the script in the last trade. I think this will resolve the issue. I’ve added the new version here.

v5

  1. Added: Last closed M5 candle tracking (last_processed_candle_time)
  2. Logic: Run signals/trades only after a new M5 bar is closed, and only once per bar.
  3. Result: No trade can ever be triggered by a forming (live) bar

I have observed that three orders have recently resulted in a 5/5 outcome. I would like to inquire when the open orders are expected to be closed, or if they will close automatically upon reaching the Stop Loss (SL) and Take Profit (TP) levels. Kindly provide clarification on this matter.
I believe your research will yield excellent results, and please know that you have my best wishes at all times.

Yes, trades are closed by either SL (stop loss) or TP (take profit).

Certainly, could you please implement some modifications and incorporate a logic that maximizes the take profit (TP) and updates the TP as necessary?

Hello everyone, sorry for my late response. I noticed something was wrong with the script, but I’ve fixed it now. I hope the script will place trades correctly this time.

 

  1. Added has_open_position(): This function directly queries MetaTrader 5 for any open position with your symbol and magic number.
    This is the industry standard method for algo safety.
  2. Open trade logic:

    1. OLD: Only checked if open_trades dict was non-empty (risky and breaks after restart or any missed close).
    2. NEW: Asks MT5 every loop if there’s a bot trade still open before entering a new one.

  3. Objectivity: All existing open_trades tracking is left in place for outcome logging, but entry blocking now relies on the exchange itself, not your script’s memory.

Good luck then, you asking for help but won't share much better don't ask help
I suggest you go pay someone else to fix it instead of asking in any thread but won't share the code
