Look on the bright side. At least he is watching the indicators. Ironically, this indicator doesn't say time to cut. Unemployment is in the low 4s, and this was a (weak) growth print.

Lets frame today's news a bit differently. We have more people employed today than at any other point in American history. Further, wage increase was 4.5% annually. Wage increase is sticky inflation and the Fed fears sticky inflation more than anything else.

Although your base analysis is accurate, I feel you are a bit late to the party. All this played out a couple of months ago when Trump said he was going to fire Powell. Remove tariffs on cars, and even open the market to Chinese cars. I want the price war on cars in the US, not in China. I want to buy a cheap electric chinese cars. Cars are very expensive here, I am already postponing buying a new car for 4 years, how much longer do I wait when prices drop? When our country was the biggest car market, german cars here were cheaper than in Germany, because every car company would reduce prices just to get a market share, now what? All that good stuff happens in China.
