Yes, most traders choose fixed lot sizing. When I was trading live, I used 3% risk for two positions. I only became aware of the Kelly Criterion after reading many of Grandpa Taleb’s books, and by rough calculation the optimal risk for forex really is about 3%. But you can’t use a 3% risk on a gaming prop‑firm account, because even the static maximum drawdown is only –6%. So now I’m accustomed to using 1% per trade (one position), or 0.5% each for two positions, and sometimes a bit more exceeded for a third position.

Same as mine, in prop accounts I tend to use 0.75% to 1% for 1 trade and divide for multiples. It allows better risk management and doesn't affect your pulse when it goes against you
