An interesting start to the day I see on GBPJPY 
I get served up a 30 pip (yep) spread this early in the day, so I don't bother to trade yet.
But I watch nonetheless

What if you incorporated certain key levels and timings into your trading ?
Key Levels a few examples. PDH PDL PDC... PWL PWH PWC.... VAH VAL POC.... VWAP ORH ORL IBH IBL etc
Key Timings a few examples. Globex Open NY Open London Open Shanghai Open Tokyo Open Franky Open... hourly rotations 4 hr rotations etc
What if you could identify certain Price behaviours AT Key Levels AT Key Timings ... It's really not that difficult.
Once again ,today, 9pm NY...9am Hong Kong/Shanghai volume comes in Price travels Level to Level.
Gold 8pm-9pm NY UTC-4 or 8am-9am UTC+8 Shanghai Hong Kong etc
Very important to observe The Behaviour of Price at these times and when at Key Levels.

Value I determine 3 different ways
1.Thru the 15min OR and 1HR IB..... IBH=VAH IBL=VAL IB 50%=POC
2.VWAP AVWAP.... VWAP=POC 1SDH=VAH and 1SDL=VAL
3. Vol Profile VAH POC VAL
I dont get into sweeps, hunts liquidity this or that....
Only Value...Is price in acceptance/In balance or is price in discovery Imbalance
If you want to post a chart and visually display what you are referring to that would be good...

If you only look for Prev Lows / High as your important levels, why that Low not taken ?

What I can tell you is i dont concern myself too much with structural lows and highs unless they are at key levels.
Prev Daily Highs and Lows..yes...not intraday at random areas as your chart shows.
I will say as well that currently Gold is in price acceptance IMO...in balance...and when in balance it will revert
from standard deviation H/L to VWAP POC....The chart you have shown ..price is currently inbalance revolving around
weekly AVWAP and PD VWAP. And when more buyers or sellers step in price will continue one way or another,,,
I dont predict....I only react to the behaviour of price as I see it.
I guess I could also say I would not trade that lowas you have outlined,,, There simply is no setup for me there.
