These are hilarious. People believing that simply putting their 'take profit' 5 x further than their stoploss, somehow gives them a 5:1 success rate. Risk v reward is absolutely impossible to measure, unless you know exactly where price will go (which nobody does)

Yes hit the ignore button today.
Because these are the type of "trader" will give a trade signal (without Sl or TP) (which i dont want nor need) hold 1000pips drawdown, then we price hit their 20pip profit target, will say " I told you so"

Risk reward and win rate are after fact measurement that defines the strategy, not in real time.

But if a trader always end up in bigger drawdown than their profit area,
1. he would take longer to recover
2. High chance his strategy yields a negative market expectation
3. Even if his strategy yields positive ME, but when the disaster hits, his drawdown will be equivalent to optimal f or bigger where very few can recover from.

Don't think he's giving a signal, just sharing his trade i agree its vague but not you or anyone else is obligated to copy his trades, this is not a signal thread

Where did you get this chart fallacy from? Reddit? Lel

Now I have two cases.
First: A system has a 20-pips SL and 180-pips TP — how often does the 20-pips SL not get hit each time a trade is opened on XAU/USD in the past 21 trading days?
Second: A system has both SL and TP set at 1000 pips — how often does either the SL or TP get hit over the last 21 trading days on XAU/USD?

So it's not really about the RR, but about where we place the SL in the system — and that’s completely random tawks without stats. And that’s not money management, that’s a stats system. What newbies call money management is actually just about risk — how much percentage are you willing to lose in a single day over say 21 days of battle in a month? Something like that.
