I wouldn't say that it's non-standard, but one idea is to forget about all of these BS technical theories, and concentrate on pure trading.
The idea would be to scan the available instruments for correlations.
By that I mean the goal is to find two opposite trending instruments with basically the same trading parameters.
The idea is to open two opposite trades (Hedge) - the specific conditions would need to be specified for good entries with the trend.
And then build a portfolio of pairs of hedge trades according to available funds, and manage them.
Also, I would suggest a form of Kelly Criterion for managing the LotSize according to trade history performance (Win/Loss Ratio and Profit Factor).

BTE, I'm absolutely NOT trying to embarrass you. I can feel your frustration with the relentless requests from (sometimes dumbass) traders, and you're patience may be running thin.

There is, however, a practical and detailed answer to the question. Not everyone, but many people over 50 have presbyopia, "a common age-related condition that affects the ability to focus on close objects". Two solutions: 1) reading glasses; and/or 2) make text larger.

If you want to make objects larger on your screen, and if these objects have no built-in control over the size (which is exactly the case for the text you see on the Fibo object levels-lines), you do need a "magnifying glass" of sorts. There is one in Windows that I would find annoying and not workable for use all the time.

However, as a better alternative, you can right-click in your Windows 11 window, choose "Display settings", find the "Scale & layout" section, notice the "Scale" setting by default is 100%. Use the cyclic to change 100% to 125% (or larger; experiment). Generally you must restart Windows and then MT4 for it to take full effect. (And of course, Windows 10 has an equivalent 'Scale' you can tweak; exact details how may vary).

All applications, their displays, and of course their text, will be larger on the screen due to the 125% vs. 100%. If you need it bigger, use 150%, etc.
This will necessarily mean that bars on a chart will also be bigger, therefore you will see fewer bars on your screen. That's unfortunate, but if your vision requires bigger, that's your option.

I also recommend to get much bigger monitors, so that the 125% isn't a big loss at all. I myself use TWO 48" Samsung 4K TV's, side-by-side, on a 6 foot wide desk. (I didn't like 55 inches, as the top was too tall and forced me to raise my head too often; I consider ~50-52 inches the max acceptable; YMMV). The monitor centers are about 40 inches away from my eyes. Both are flat. They are angled slightly so that when I turn my head, I'm more or less looking 90 degrees at the middle of each screen. For me, and in front of these monitors, I use bi-focals, not progressive lenses, because they're sharp left-to-right without needing to tilt my head up-and-down. I had to work a lot with my eye doctor to get the prescription just right.

Bottom line: There is no control in MT4 over the font size of the Fibo level-lines text, but you can change the monitor scale instead.

P.S. Few people would need or want screens as big as I have. Anything bigger, especially compared to a small laptop screen, would be better. My Samsung TV's are now several years old but still working fine. Other brands have 'PC' modes too. On my old TV's used as monitors, the only downside is that I must keep the remote handy to power them back On after they go to sleep. If they were true monitors, then just moving the mouse would wake them back up, but they're TV's, and lack this one feature. I don't care, I'm used to it. Plus, "TV's" are way less expensive than monitors, and I don't really see the value to pay more and get too small. Get a "4K" however! No way an old 1080 screen resolution will be acceptable.

Hey, I'm 65 this year, and I know the problem.
I used an actual magnifying glass for a while, and I am wearing reading glasses, too.
So, my advice wasn't a joke at all.

And, yes, I did get frustrated when Shargyn said there was no available way, and still Mahapathy asked for a way...

Also, about the monitors, personally I don't see the practicality of a big screen like 48 inches, because then we need to sit further away in order to catch the whole picture. Further away, means harder to read the smaller fonts. I think that 24 - 30 inches is about right.

PS. Another thing is that I really don't understand why people need all those labels and descriptions at all?
I don't need to know the price on the level, as long as the level is there.
After all, any level is there because we want to study Price Action in relation to that level.

PPS. About the scale in Windows - that option has been available in all Windows versions I can remember.
So, are you suggesting that the user doesn't even know the basic functions of their Operating System?
Like, they can't even use their own computer properly, and they think they can trade?

Try this, I loaded your test indicator and then my indicator and no issues with slowness or locking up. The OnChartEvent I had copied off an older indicator and never thought to check it ( Had this issue a few years ago ) as I had no immediate issues with my MT4 slowing down or locking up. See if this works for you.

All 3 are good points. I mostly agree.

Regarding the 2nd, why descriptions are needed: If one draws a Fibo with any of several common levels, and especially if one zooms in close, the labels will appear at the far right (if Ray=true). It can be helpful to know if it's the 50% line, or 61.8% line, or whichever line. Using the default Fibo object, the level lines are all the same color. (There are indicators which convert the lines to individual Trendlines, and customize the color; helpful perhaps, but I don't use them). The price itself is, as you say, already known by where it is, so not as helpful, but easy for MT4 to display.

I understand being lazy to not learn how to code because that´s me, but not even trying with AI like DeepSeek? just create a word document with the code you want to fix and then tell it to fix the issues that are appearing and it should be able to do most simple things, you must write the errors though, then just copy/compile and that´s it.

It's funny how what you describe as "being lazy" requires more work than is necessary to fix these very basic errors using just what the Meta Editor already provides! Like, you mean being lazy to even learn how to use the Meta Editor? Or how to Google "variable already defined error mql4"?

Yes, you fixed the MT4 freeze problem! Much better.

Some comments about the UI details:

  1. Using a blank label to drag around the OBJ_BUTTON (which cannot be selected and dragged directly) is a nice innovation. I've done something similar with a label that can drag a whole set of buttons around, even buttons made by other indicators too, though that's complicated and still a work-in-progress.
  2. For me, I prefer that the button text tell me what the status *is*, rather than what it will be if I click it. Yours are flipped definitions.
  3. It's not that often one would need to move a button around, but I found it just slightly annoying that when I moved the label to cause it to move the button, it would sometimes also toggle the button, sometimes not. The key to whether a button toggles or not is to observe exactly where the button is when you *release* the left-mouse-button (LMB) that dragged the control label around. Your button follows with a bit of delay (no problem), but perhaps it need not move dynamically at all, and only move when the control label is finished with the drag. As long as the cursor is not over the actual button object when you release the LMB, it will not change the button state (which in my opinion would be preferred).

    Alternatively, you could keep the dynamic move, but change the label anchor to the left side, though it might then need a rotation of 180 degrees for aligning with the button. (I'm guessing ANCHOR_LEFT, or ANCHOR_LEFT_LOWER, then rotate it 180 degrees, and get it aligned over the button).

    As it is now, notice that if the button catches up with the drag of the control label, that the cursor is always on top of the button, like this:

    This always toggles the button. IMO, it would work better (and leave the button state unchanged) if the cursor would usually remain in the white space just left of the button. The only exceptions would be very small movements of the button such that the cursor is still over the button when LMB is released. (This only happens when the dynamic move has not caught up yet).

BTW, did you know that double clicking on the error line in Meta Editor will show you where the error is in the code?
Also, in this specific case, clicking on the "see previous declaration" will also show you where it is.

A dll is a library and it should be the same for MT4 and MT5.
If the indicator requires a dll library, it will have #import command.
