I completely agree with you, and I just wanted to reassure you.
Personally, I find a lot of value and enjoyment in reading your posts.
Your understanding of things and your ability to share them so clearly make you a rare and valuable person in this space. Even if you consider yourself a beginner, there is always someone who is just starting out and can learn a lot from what you share.
In my opinion, you shouldn’t stop.
I actually think that’s part of the essence of this forum — sharing and learning from each other.
But maybe I’m wrong.

Every day, every week, every month, and every year, I will have a trading plan. I know how much profit I want to make and how much loss I’m willing to accept from each entry in the market. I’d like to jump in on your point about having a trading plan because that’s exactly where I am right now.
After analyzing my own situation, I realized that what I lack is a simple and repeatable structure that helps me limit the impact of emotions in decision-making.
I see a trading plan as a clear and simple document that defines the key elements of one's trading approach.
This week, I started working on my own, and here’s where I am so far:
- Profit targets : Monthly objectives, broken down into weekly and daily goals.
- Risk management : Position sizing, stop-loss rules, leverage, and a new concept I discovered this week during my research—maximum acceptable drawdown, with forced pause rules.
- Trading strategy definition : Identifying the type of trading (day trading, swing trading, etc.), defining timeframes and methods of analysis:
- Technical analysis : Pivot Points, MACD, RSI, EMA, Fibonacci, Elliott Waves...
- Fundamental analysis : Economic data, political and geopolitical news monitoring.
- Market conditions analysis : Understanding the overall trend across different timeframes, identifying key support and resistance levels (Pivot Points, Fibonacci, Elliott Wave), assessing market liquidity, and anticipating the potential impact of daily economic releases.
- Trade setup : Entry strategies (for example, a pullback supported by volume), trade management after entry (moving the stop-loss quickly but carefully to break-even, stacking positions), and exit management (taking partial profits vs. letting trades run depending on trend strength).
None of this existed in my trading in 2024, and I feel like I’m evolving toward something more structured, disciplined, and less driven by emotions.
Is this how a trading plan is usually structured, or am I overcomplicating things ?
Are there any key elements I’m missing ?
Do you also have this kind of document, maybe even combined with a trading journal ?
Or is this just a total noob thing? lol 
In any case, I believe all this work is not wasted, as it helps me solidify my reasoning and my learning process in trading.

As for me, I only trade XAUUSD, but in reality, all these tools combined form a coherent system.
It may seem like a lot, but through backtesting, I’ve noticed that they often complement each other and help me better read market movements, which has significantly reduced my mistakes.
At first, I only used RSI, MACD, parallel channels (which I forgot to mention earlier), and Pivot Points, which I manually calculate every day based on the previous day's data for the current session.
In December, I discovered Fibonacci retracements. I was already familiar with Fibonacci in product design, but I didn’t know that its application in trading could be so relevant.
It has helped me confirm support and resistance levels based on my Pivot Points and project potential price levels for the coming weeks and months using extensions.
Recently, I started integrating Elliott Waves—and wow, what a discovery !
Understanding how price movements are structured has opened up a whole new perspective for me.
With all these tools, my goal is to find the areas where they align, as these levels are more likely to be significant.
There’s nothing magical here—time will help me refine everything, validate or invalidate my hypothesis on the relevance of using them together in my strategy.
Maybe one day I’ll simplify my toolkit, but for now, I’m testing my hypothesis, and I’ll make adjustments when I analyze my monthly performance.

Every Monday, my chart starts with horizontal lines in different colors to highlight key price levels. I watch for candlestick reactions at these levels to see if there will be a rejection or breakout. I rely on my 'A+ Setup,' which is based on my experience and how I track every tick of the candlestick movement. It’s hard to explain, but my decisions are grounded in the patterns I observe. I’ve noticed that many traders pay a lot of attention to candlestick closings and their positioning, but to be honest, it’s still pretty unclear to me. It’s on my long list of things to understand, and I feel like it could really improve my chart reading skills.
I’ve also seen the concept of the "Asia Kill Zone" that you mentioned, but I haven’t fully understood it yet. I promise I’ll come back to explore these elements once I’ve validated my current hypothesis.
For now, I don’t want to overload myself with too many concepts at once—because, to be honest, I’m a real knowledge addict. I love learning, even to the point of overload, haha.
