This is just the euphoria from the election result obviously. However, whether you're for or against him, Trump won't solve the economic problems. Debt is still going to soar, probably more so, deficits will increase and he might even increase the weaponization of the dollar, which will increase other countries desire to move away from it.

I've been one of his supporters since 2015, this time mostly on the cultural issues, but the situation is very different than it was almost a decade ago and I think this market reaction is no way indicative of a change in long term trends. I'm seeing this fall of gold (dollar rise), as akin to the fall in gold after Lehman Brothers collapsed. When that happened, gold fell and made a new low, and then went into a big bull market that lasts until 2011.

This drop is due two main reasons .. Fed dropping 25 basis points and Elections.. the saying goes buy the rumor sell the fact, well we are dealing with Sell the Fact now.. If you look at Cots .. you will see there has been a shift from longs to shorts right from Mid Oct or so.. esp. in the last leg run .. I've highlighted that in yellow .. Also it is known the first year of any change in Govt will keep economic conditions strained.. we all come from different parts of the world and Change in Govts you wont see instant changes.. it will be gradual .. and a guy like trump will pass the blame on Biden Admin. its as easy as that for him.... Also tighter monetary policy gives way to collapse of mid sized banks.. like what happened with SVB.. Big Banks will acquire small banks .. its a dog eat / dog shit world my friend ..

Hey everyone, quick update! We hit the area I’ve been watching. I’m waiting on a solid confirmation before going long, but if the price breaks through this level, I’ll switch gears and consider a short position for a bit.
