Hi all, I have been looking everywhere for a simple EA that triggers pendings based on bid. I just can't find one anywhere. I did try to make one myself but failed.
The EA should have two pendings one for sell one for buy, lots for sell and lots for buy as well as tp and sl for each pending. As an example when Bid equals or less than the price for buy, the pending is being sent as market order then, it does not wait for ask to touch the price. The same should be for TP and SL, will be triggered when Bid touches, go over them. I eally should have an option where pendings will not be triggered if spread is bigger than 3-4 pips.
I'll also attach my code if anyone can help I would be very grateful. Many thanks.

I hope that you understand the fact that:
1. Market Buy is always at Ask price.
2. Market Sell is always at Bid price.
3. Buy TP is always at Bid price.
4. Sell TP is always at Ask price.
5. Buy SL is always at Bid price.
6. Sell SL is always at Ask price.
Of course, there can always be slippage over which we don't have any control (EA doesn't have any control, either).
Also, EA can just close any order at Bid price if you code it to do so, but then you don't need a physical Stop Order.
I mean that you can code a condition like if(Bid >= myprice) OrderClose().
However, the orders still must be closed at their respective prices: Bid for Buy, Ask for Sell.
There is no other option.
And, also the EA still has no control over potential slippage.

PS. Also, there is no such thing as placing a pending order at Bid price.
There is always a minimal distance from price at which we can place pending orders.

Thank you for your reply. I understand what you said. The slippage is there, nothing can be done about it but my buy pendings (limit) do not get triggered as the ask doesn't (quite often) reach the price. I don't mind the spread, slippage, I just want my order to get triggered.

Maybe I don't express myself clearly. It is basically like in your example: "I mean that you can code a condition like if(Bid >= myprice) OrderClose()."
That's exactly it I want all actions to be taken when bid is @ a certain price, I am aware that it will be closed at ask, I just want it to be triggered by bid.
I have a hard time doing that unfortunately.

Then you don't need to place pending orders at all.
You can't have it both ways, that's impossible.
Just do if(Bid<=myBuyPrice) OrderSend(_Symbol,OP_BUY,...).
There is no other way.
If you have a pending OP_BUYLIMIT, you need to delete it when the OP_BUY is successful.
You will never know if Ask will trigger the pending order or not...

Well, I don't want to "help" anybody in such matters.
It's your idea, and I don't want to help you lose money, so you need to figure it out for yourself.
Pending limit orders are good for those who have a good reason to hedge their profits at a given price level.
They are not good at all for catching "falling blades".

Ok now I understand the confusion. When I mean pending, I don't mean OP_BUYLIMIT, I mean it as a pending actions that the ea will take. All orders should be sent as market orders, aka OP_BUY. I hope this clears things a bit.

This really just sounds like an alert on a vertical line, if so-

Alert_vline
- alerts when the live candle time equals the vline
- manually make a vline and name it alert, or something else from the indicator
- you can have many vlines as long as they all have the input text name

Jeanlouie please is it possible to move the functions of the attached fractals alert to separate window i was able to do it on my mobile phone(screenshot attached) but could not figure it out on my desktop please help if it can be done .Thanks and in the screenshot apart from the fractals alert is the indicator you helped me conjured up a few years back and how im now using it im grateful. Thanks

Can someone code an MT5 indicator that will take 3 user input. First one will be any hour(user input) and the second one will be time range(user input). It will then calculate the retracement percentage of price to the opening price of the first user input within the time period of second user input for the last n(user input) number of days trading days. The information will be displayed in a table on the trading chart.
user input:
number of days to calculate(n)
opening hour(n=1,2...23)
retracement time range(HH:MM-HH:MM)

This indicator can also calculate the percentage of distribution for a specific time window(user input) for the last n(user input) number of days. For example, lets say ATR for last (n=100) days is 100 pips. Then within 04:00-06:15(time range) hours its distribution was 34% on average means 34 pips.It will also display in a attached tableinside the chart.
user input:
number of days to calculate(n)
distribution time range(HH:MM)

What I was looking for is a TLine alert that starts from e.g 10:30 to 11:00. Alert when it crosses the line than draw the line manually.

I think that nobody understands what you really want.
Your statement, literally, makes no sense.
You want the alert to sound for 30 minutes???
Like jeaunlouie said, it sounds like you want a simple time alert.
There is no need to plot a Time Line in order to produce an alert at a specific time, or candle-time.
You need to be precise and specific about what you want.
It is best to describe what must happen in points.
