If someone had his MM is place, even when market is reversing against him now, either he already covered partial of his risks, or SL at B/e or cover his whole risk.

NFP will be short-lived as well in my opinion. The major news like NFP and CPI will probably be used to bring the price down, but only temporarily. Gold's going much higher it seems, until proven otherwise.

One thing I need to mention here... when we get close to the highs, they will destroy bears patience first and will only then start crashing the price down. This will probably be a daily or weekly range once we get near the top. Or perhaps, we'll get the sell after all the bears are dead and buried.

A lot of my peers, social circle and trading friends have lost money, huuuuge money trying to short these highs.

I urge everyone to be patient, the mother of all shorts will come but be patient, like you said it will come when you least expect it when no one wants to touch the sell button no more! Wait for higher time frame confirmations, even the daily confirmation is not confirmation enough with gold now!

Shorting this ain't trying to catch a falling knife, its like trying to catch a falling bus you will get wrecked lol.

The trend is your friend until it ends and this trend aint at the end!

Trend lines and fib extensions can give a pretty idea of future price range, use it cautiously though and always buy at support with proper MM.

No one can really analyse the market for a next high price except using some kinde of abc pattern or fibs. but these alone never helped anyone. Fibs and trendlines always have to be combined with other confluences, they just dont work out of the box.

The best thing to do is wait for a clearer market picture or trade from lower setups. there is not enough structure at the moment to predict aything from it.
