News are just used as a "tool" to push the price to the goal. Sometimes they slow down the process of the price reaching the goal and sometimes they accelerate the process. Price is going where it intended to go anyway. News just provide greater volatility and nothing else.

FED'S BOSTIC: I AM NOW GIVING EQUAL ATTENTION TO MAXIMUM EMPLOYMENT OBJECTIVE AS INFLATION.

They could use these statements to bring the price down again, because they stated that their main objective is now employment, however Bostic is now saying that that isn't actually the case and that both part of the mandates are given an equal attention. We'll see...

Price does not behave like a rally.

If it would have been a rally it would have gone up more with a smaller move back so to catch all the sellers underwater...
