I had intended to get a dashboard made to bring together & display 4 indicators but was told it was too
many columns etc & the computer would run slow or freeze up
so I should make an EA instead
I understand indicators to an average degree but I don't know what the difference is between an indicator &
an EA -- except that you can only use 1 EA on a chart whereas you can use a number of indicators
I already have an MA dash made with 8 columns which causes no problems, but that uses the chart's time
frames
why should an EA run better/faster than an indicator?
I'd appreciate it if someone would either give me a "simple" explanation ( if that exists ) of why one needs
to use an EA or perhaps point me to where /how I can find out

An EA is not supposed to be an indicator.
It can do the same functions, but the role of an EA is to manage trade functions, which an indicator can not do.
So, it is possible to code something like this as an EA:

I can't promise, but according to the following, I might be able to help in some way
- Because I just started using and learning a new indicator to detect divergence and I have limited time to backtest and confirm it until next week, so if the indicator you want takes a lot of time, I may not be able to help in terms of coding, or It will take several weeks for me to code.

Hmmm, correct me if I'm wrong, but what's wrong with your message?
You have a strategy, and it's a working one, correct?
This means that you are able to make money with this working strategy, correct?
Because, if you are not able to make money using this strategy, then it can't be a working one, correct?

Therefore, if you have a working strategy and you are making money with this startegy, this means that you can afford to hire a proffessional coder and pay them whatever they charge you, correct?
Because, if you can't afford to pay a proffessional coder, then your startegy isn't working, correct?

So, what is the real problem?

BTW, yeah, we can help you code an indicator, but we first need to know what the strategy is, in detail.
If we don't know that, we can't help, no matter how we try.

Can someone add 2 slope indicators and make it user adjustable for each slope indicator and paint the space between the 2 slopes a contrasting color
please. If you succeed at this I will share a scalping method using this and 2 more indicators with it that gives fantastic results. I will put a picture here and the source code for the MQL5

That's a big project, not sure someone would be willing to do the whole thing for free.... maybe a section of it. Looks really good though.

You need to share the source code if you want help; we can't edit .ex5 files.

Hello BestTraderEv and coders,

Attached indicator should lock/unlock chart scale by clicking a button on chart.
The problem is, it unlocks it by clicking anything/anywhere on the chart, not the button only. please be kind and fix it. thank you.
