I'm really sorry for the confusion. I will try my best to clarify even if it takes 30 attempts. 1. I didn't get any conditions for H and L of 2 in relation to 1. Please lets assume bearish engulfing from each of the examples For engulfing for instance in Ex. 1, please consider/use candle bodies only for candle 1 & 2 i.e. Open and Close for relating (close of candle 2 should be lower than open for candle 1 ). For checking validity/ if it's tradeable please check (highs and lows ) i.e if the high of candle 3 has touched the low of candle 1. What are the specific engulfing conditions for Ex.2 engulfing? Example two simply shows a case where it takes more than 1 candle to engulf the opposing candle. In this case please only consider the (opening and closing) i.e opening of the opposing candle and the closing of the candle that finally closes below the opposing candle. For validity on whether we want to trade it or not, the high of the next candle/ candle 4 (after bearish engulfing has occurred) should not touch the low of the opposing candle/ bullish candle.
